1 T O Smith Finished a nose back from the leader last start at Sonoda when first up. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Drawn the rails. Knockout hope.
2 El Hierro Ran eighth last start at Sonoda. Has a lot of early speed but has not won in 18 outings to the track before. Cannot entertain.
3 Justin Bolt Has placed in two runs from three this campaign and down in distance. Capable of racing on speed. At least a place chance here.
4 Isshin On a seven day back-up. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Won at Kochi in only second-up attempt. Big chance.
5 Sannen A Gumi Placed last start at Sonoda. Looks the leader and Shingo Oyama a bonus. Can get the job done.
6 Yossha Amongst the placegetters last start running third at Sonoda. Has a lot of early speed but an untried jockey and trainer combination. Rough claims.
7 Force With You Has run in 13 races without placing. Capable of racing on speed but has not won in three outings to Sonoda before. Not in this.
8 Shisei Winner at Sonoda and placed four times this prep. Has genuine early speed. One of the main hopes.
9 Mitekure Kono Ashi Finished at the rear last start at Sonoda. Looks the leader but without a win in 19 runs at the track. Unlikely.
10 So Shura Rikuri Won once this prep at Himeji three runs back. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but no wins in four past runs at Sonoda. Capable of getting into the money.
11 El Menia Unplaced in career. Looks the leader but no wins in 13 past runs at Sonoda. Outsider.
