Rosehill preview and tips: Tancred Stakes day - Saturday, March 30

The final day of the Golden Slipper carnival at Rosehill and it's a cracking 10-race card, highlighted by two Group 1 contests in the Vinery Stud Stakes and Tancred Stakes.

Hopefully, the inside lanes aren't cactus and we get a fair track in what is a massive day of racing.

Not super keen to get involved in these Midways throughout the carnival.

Field Wiri (18e) was good from the back on a day heavily favouring those on pace. Gets a drop in weight and Tom Marquand sticks. Each-way.

Brimstone (1) has a bad barrier and gives them weight but is probably the most talented horse in the race. Unlucky last start when trapped three wide without cover and only beaten narrowly.

Huon (7), Peak (13) and Wolves (17) should be competitive as well.

VERDICT: Field Wiri (18e) each-way.

Thought Renaissance Woman (9) was a super run in the Coolmore Classic and I reckon with clear running room, she runs top three that day. Think the horse is flying, the 2000m is her pet trip and she's well weighted with only 53.5kg on her back. Bet!

Zeyrek (1) on the back-up after he mixed it with the best in the Ranvet Stakes. Did finish last but 2.6L off Via Sistina is a great effort. Will give this a shake.

Cadre Du Noir (6) is probably a run away from being a winning hope but at the same time, I can see him running well here. One for the exotics.

Serpentine (2) has found some form and delivered a tough win a few weeks back at Randwick.

VERDICT: Renaissance Woman (9) hard to beat.

Linebacker (6) could be a genuine Sires/Champagne Stakes type of horse. Had gears on his rivals when making his debut at Hawkesbury on the heavy track. Think you will see a better horse on a good deck and out to 1400m.

Silmarillon (4) is dual acceptor at Flemington but does have barrier two and James McDonald booked here. The fillies are proving to be the superior bunch and I like the Erno's Cube formline.

Anode (1) is drawn wide but likely leads. Super form around him given he beat home subsequent Golden Slipper runner up Coleman last time out.

Not sure what's happened with Parkour (3). Looked like a genuine top liner early on but the wheels seem to have fallen off. The talent is there - somewhere.

VERDICT: Linebacker (6) looks the winner.

Could we see the Derby winner here? History would suggest so.

Wynmark (3) is going in the right direction. Won by a cool 9.5L at Newcastle before blitzing the older horses last start at Rosehill. Tommy Berry sticks.

Kintyre (2) should be nearing his peak now third-up and out to 2000m. Beaten by two handy fillies in Zardozi and Makarena last start and this is probably weaker. Jamie Kah on - tick.

John Sargent regularly unleashes a promising three-year-old stayer and Glad You Think So (6) looks to be the one this year. Even effort behind Wynmark last start, but up to 2000m will suit and barrier 2 does as well.

Noisy Boy (7) has scope to improve and could be one at a price.

VERDICT: Wynmark (3) to win.

Tough race but have sided with Vienna Princess (6). Two solid enough runs this time in and she beat a number of the horses she faces on Saturday last spring in the Golden and Silver Eagle. Should be peaking third-up.

Olentia (5) is on the back up. Was five weeks between runs and did it tough out wide when fourth to Chain Of Lightning. Should improve.

Makarena (13) is up against the older mares so she'll have to be good. Drawn to get every chance in the run though.

Maybe She's All Class (8) can run a race at $101. Didn't think she was all that bad last start and now looks to peak third-up from a spell.

VERDICT: Vienna Princess (6) to win.

Shinzo (4) has got to be the bet here. Nothing really went right in his spring preparation but he looks back and ready to fire on Saturday. Should get a nice run just behind the speed and pounce on them late. Seems like the forgotten superstar.

Hawaii Five Oh (1) will be ready to rock and roll but he'll have to be good to carry 60.5kg if he's going to be beating Shinzo (4). Has come of age and will be right in this.

Coal Crusher (2) is the one up and running with a fitness edge on them. Hard to knock the formline following his last-start fourth to Lady Laguna in the Canterbury Stakes.

Could see Bandi's Boy (14) running well in this on his way to winning the Country Championships Final in a few weeks.

VERDICT: Shinzo (4) best bet of the day.

The price is gone but Orchestral (1) is something special. Prowess came over and dominated this race last year, but this filly might just be a level above her. Just wins.

Zardozi (2) is the only real danger. She's flying and is only starting to get out to her preferred trip.

Mare Of Mt Buller (7) can run well at a price, while Kimochi (3) should be in the mix again.

VERDICT: Orchestral (1) will win.

If Post Impressionist (5) handles the back up, I'm not sure how they beat him. It was an arrogant ride/win last week in the Manion Cup at this track and distance and if he does that again, good luck beating him.

Buckaroo (1) is flying. Was a super run behind Via Sistina last week in the Ranvet and I'm confident that's the best horse currently in Australia. Has to be in the mix.

Military Mission (2) was a good run in that Ranvet as well but will enjoy the extra 400m here. Looks like he'll set the tempo.

Kalapour (7) is flying. Think he'll be ready to rip third-up and out to 2400m. Chuck him in your trifectas for a big result.

VERDICT: Post Impressionist (5) to win.

Another Wil (17e) was smashed in betting. Looks like a genuine Group 1 horse in the making and with even luck, he should be winning this.

Amor Victorious (16) can bounce back. Just got taken on last start and due to the red hot tempo he set, dropped out.

Phearson (4) is flying and should be thereabouts again.

Super Helpful (15) should run well at a massive price.

VERDICT: Another Wil (17e) hard to beat.

Bjorn Baker loves winning the last race and can do so with Iknowastar (3). Looks fit and ready to fire judging by his trials in the lead-up to raceday.

Razors (13) should get a gun run and will be looking to improve second-up.

The Kris Lees-trained duo Razeta (12) and Powerful Peg (11) can run well too.

VERDICT: Iknowastar (3) to win.
