Tony Ottobre has a dig at Australia's best jockey ahead of potential rematch
The autumn carnival is done and dusted but the competitive spirit of the Pride Of Jenni clan is still bowling along.
Tony Ottobre, owner of the Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner, took to social media in response to an interview top jockey James McDonald gave on RSN.
The RSN team posted a quoted graphic of McDonald saying "bring it on", in reference to a potential spring rematch between Pride Of Jenni and Via Sistina.
Ottobre held no punches back and returned fire with an all time spray on Australia's premier jockey.
"Hey Macca don't sook up because you got beaten by an Irish jumps jockey," Ottobre posted on social media platform X.
"He has more balls than you, waiting for a cart on a $5.5mill horse is pretty piss week.
"Next time have a crack."
Ottobre did admit it's all in good fun but did continue on his spiel throughout the comments section.Hey Macca don't sook up because you got beaten by an Irish jumps jockey, he has more balls than you, waiting for a cart on a $5.5mill horse is pretty piss week, next time have a crack 🤓 pic.twitter.com/kvHxSj5B6j

One user pointed out his bravery for calling out the best jockey in the country, and the potential of a future partnership likely ruined.
"He's never ridden for me and never will buddy boy," Ottobre posted.
TAB rate Pride Of Jenni as the one to beat in a potential rematch in Australia's weight-for-age championship, sitting at the top of betting for the Cox Plate as a $4.50 chance.
Reigning champion Romantic Warrior is at $6 along with Via Sistina.
