1 Danon Luster Resumes from a 27 week spell and first run for a new trainer. Won or placed in three to start career. Go well.
2 Kitano Vision Having first start for a new trainer and has run in seven races without placing. Draws to do no work and expect to lead. Not the worst.
3 Sakura Allure First race for Hiroki Kawashima. Has genuine early speed. Not out of it.
4 Ardore Finished seven lengths back last start at Fukushima when fresh. Cannot entertain.
5 Baji O Resumes after spell of 19 weeks and comes to hand quickly. Looks the leader. Place.
6 Tenkaharu Back from 17 week spell and first race for Yoshito Yahagi. Will come to hand quickly and ran second when last first-up at Funabashi. At least a place chance here.
7 Keiai Purple Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Hanshin when resuming. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but ran ninth at Ohi in only second-up attempt. Unlikely.
8 Gluhwurm Let-up and having first start for a new trainer. Can't knock the form with two wins from five attempts this campaign. One of the main hopes.
9 Red Faro Resumes after spell of 14 weeks and resumes well. Looks the leader. Hard to go past.
10 Vision Of Love Back from let-up. Looks the leader but appears safely held.
11 Break Forth Back from let-up. Last start winner to break maiden at Nakayama and Hironobu Tanabe a bonus. Place chance.
12 Ena Hatsuho Returns from six week let-up and first race for Naohiro Yoshida. Looks the leader but unlikely.
13 Kurino Dragon Has struggled in both runs so far this campaign. Has a lot of early speed and has the speed to overcome an unfavourable draw but still look to others.
14 Cours Mirabeau Back from let-up. Placed at Kyoto when last fresh and won two of four first-up. Looks the leader. Confident will go close.
15 Ritual Let-up. Has a lot of early speed and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Needs the breaks.
16 Meisho Funjin Let-up and first start for a new trainer. Has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier but this looks too strong.
