1 Imperial Line First-up after 23 week break and comes to hand quickly. Has a lot of early speed. Well placed.
2 Toa Shion Back after 15 week break. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but still appears tested.
3 Akokuro Returns from nine week let-up. Looks the leader. Perfectly placed.
4 Nekketsu Shacho Can't knock the form with two wins from 10 attempts this campaign. Capable of racing on speed and rates highly with Takuma Ogino aboard. Not the worst.
5 Quattro Magico Let-up. Capable of racing on speed but has struggled so far this preparation. Seems unlikely.
6 Unclouded First-up after 20 week break and first run for a new trainer. Has genuine early speed. Genuine contender.
7 Atractivo Ran 11 lengths back from the winner last start at Nakayama. Has a lot of early speed and should run fitter for past attempts. Among the main chances.
8 Tosen Christ Finished a nose back from the leader last start at Nakayama when first up. Has genuine early speed and Kyosuke Maruta a bonus. Forward showing no surprise.
9 La La Effort Let-up for seven weeks and has run in seven races without placing. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but still seems unlikely.
10 Sahara Vainqueur First-up after 20 week spell and needs a few starts to get warm. Has a lot of early speed but still hard to get enthused.
11 Gun Wolf Finished 19 lengths back last start at Nakayama when fresh. Capable of racing on speed and ran fifth at Chukyo when last second-up. Appears tested.
