1 Lawless World Returns from six week let-up. Ran seventh at only start at Santa Anita but drawn ideally, still cannot entertain.
2 On The Whim Back from let-up and a winner at first outing this prep. Goes well at Santa Anita. Place.
3 Belmont Bill Only just missed last start, finishing a nose back from the winner at Santa Anita when fresh. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Generally strong second-up placing at the track last second-up attempt. In with a chance.
4 Tigerhon Let-up. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Rates highly with L Dettori retaining the ride. Right in this.
5 Fleet Feet Got the campaign off to a strong start winning when fresh but finished 12th last start at Santa Anita. Winner at the track before but looking elsewhere.
6 Shortman Won once this prep at Del Mar seven runs back. Has a lot of early speed but has not won at Santa Anita previously. Not in this.
7 Legislator Back from 20 week spell and returns to shorter trip. Looks the leader. Consider.
8 Forgiving Spirit Amongst the placegetters first two attempts this prep. Capable of racing on speed. Should fight out the finish.
9 Cali Bay Returns from 10 week let-up. Winner of last two at Santa Anita and Del Mar. Has a lot of early speed. Commands respect.
