Yeah you're right mate, once Snowden horses find some form they tend to hold it and I'd suggest she'll take a lot of fitness from that run. I reckon if she gets a slow or heavy track next run mate she could just about beat anything but even a good or dead I suspect she'll be a huge show (and is pretty underrated so usuallu get good odds with her). You're right on Palacio too, it and Neroli were the only 2 I thought who made up any decent ground and on another day could have easily ran 1-2.

Very good run by Neroli on Saturday I thought mate. Probably got home better than anything really, I haven't looked at times but on face value she would be a huge chance in her next 2 runs. I'd say she's the one to beat in the Queen of the Turf (won it last year in the slop) now and would even be a huge chance in the Doncaster. Any thoughts?

Neroli at big odds for the Coolmore mate...don't think she'll get conditions to suit though, I'd like to see a bit of rain about.

Yeah I agree mate, I would have liked to see her finish off a bit better but I wasn't gonna sack her yet and greatly appreciate your info about her being a bit heavy. She has never been overally brilliant first up I don't think despite her record being solid. I thought her last prep was a little disappointing as she didn't finish off with that nice sprint she has and found your point about her being an Autumn galloper very interesting as her last Autumn was very good, won the Queen of the Turf and then I thought was one of the better runs in the Doncaster when she was held up at the 100 and finished brilliantly and ended coming about 5th from memory. Hopefully she gets a slow track or 2 and can snag a winner, thanks for the reply mate.

G'day mate, just wondering if you saw Neroli's race on Saturday? I thought it was a little disappointing to be honest.

Thanks for the heads up on Neroli mate, I assume they'd be looking at the Doncaster again like last year (in which I thought she actually ran really well) but hopefully she can have a win or 2 before then.

G'day TGO !

FORM in Hong Kong has returned to greater reliability over the last few weeks and IT IS TIME to get back into some HONG KONG ACTION!

I start tomorrow Wednesday night with the 36th meeting of the season. And it is at Happy Valley! The place of some of our best KILLER ALL UPS this time last year! (This season there are 83 meetings, so another 47 before season end!)

All the action is on My Wall.

Warm Regards

Throwing darts may produce some good longshot results! - eg: on Melb Cup day a female colleague of my wife picked the following 2 horses as an omen bet and put a $5 quinella on it - (my wife and her friend both work at an emergency services call centre in Melb CBD).

SHOCKING + CRIME SCENE = a bloody good result for a $5 outlay.

G'day mate.
Welcome back, I trust QLD was lovely and warm unlike good old South West Victoria. Ha ha. Yeah it's shaping up as a nice race actually. I'm pretty sure Neroli and Hot Danish have met 4 times now and Neroli has beaten HD home every time so that's interesting. I think tomorrows race may suit Neroli though as Jolie's Shinju, Typhoon Tracy, Hot Danish and maybe even Emblem of Liberty might all battle at the front and pressure each other and basically run each other out of the race and leave Neroli with an opening after a fairly easy run on the rail.

Agred mate, must be fairly fit one would suggest. Her first up record isn't outstanding but she did win first up last prep which gives me confidence and it's certainly not the best field she's encountered. I'd say Absolut Glam is the only genuine danger really. Yeah she won well on her Melbourne leg albeit she got away with a protest that took forever but a win is a win. Jacqueline Rouge was second to her that day and the quinella paid $50 so perhaps history will repeat?

Thanks for the update mate, just having a look at the field now and she looks the winner I would have thought. Wonder what odds will be on offer, interesting that she's gone straight to Melbourne, must be just about ready to go.

G'day mate, thanks very much for the update. I'll be sure to keep an eye on her and see how she goes. She surely couldn't be too far away from having a run whethr it be in Sydney or straight down to Melbourne.

I actually still haven't seen it mate, where do you watch trial replays? The last couple of times they've trialled her she has never been pushed. I remember her trial before her last campaign she just skipped along against pretty much a group of nobodies and finished 3rd or 4th out of about 6 I reckon and then won first up so there's obviously some science behind it I'd say mate. Snowden must think for some reason that she shouldn't be pushed in her trials or something.

Thanks very much mate. Yeah she's one of my favs, a very nice horse. She can probably still improve as she's only very lightly raced for a 5 year old. I'd say she can just about win anything she can contests so I'd be interested to see what they aim her at. Thanks again for the info mate.

Thats great news about the success of your Best Bets TGO. Particularly as this time of the year is treacherous for trying to pick the standouts.

Trackwork is vitally important to winning in Hong Kong, it can give you the edge you need. In Hong Kong all the trackwork every horse does is fully documented and you can actually see them working ON LINE!

Unfortunately, no such information is available here for Australian racing. And I suspect many Australian trainers are bone lazy and dont work their horses to have them fit enough when they go to the track to race.

So if you can ascertain the fit ones from your tips, you are going to string those winners together.

See you when I resume on Sunday September 13 for the first meeting of the new season in Hong Kong.
