SYDNEY, June 10 AAP - Tim Clark's successful year just got better with the Sydney hoop gaining a contract to ride in Hong Kong next season.

Clark has been granted a club jockey's licence from the start of Hong Kong's 2011/12 season, which begins in September, until February 1 next year.

He will join fellow Australian jockeys Darren Beadman, Brett Prebble, Zac Purton and Tye Angland in the Hong Kong riding ranks.

Clark has taken his career to a new level this season with his current tally of 56-1/2 Sydney wins placing him fourth in the premiership.

The 24-year-old, who partnered the popular mare Hot Danish during her career, had a career-best day in April when he rode a Group One double at Randwick with victories in the Doncaster Mile on Sacred Choice and the Galaxy on Atomic Force.

The champion Sydney apprentice in 2005/06, Clark has Group One rides on Zero Rock and Shadows In The Sun in Brisbane on Saturday.
