1 Petit Beurre First-up after 21 week break. Coming off a win at only start at Nakayama and should find the lead easily having drawn well. Rough claims.
2 Ka Pilina In the money last start running second at Tokyo when resuming and expect to do no work from a soft draw. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Must respect.
3 Vol Ster First-up after 16 week break and having first start for a new trainer. Hasn't run a bad race. Capable of getting into the money.
4 Bellwether Let-up for nine weeks. Comes to hand quickly and won at Kyoto when last first-up. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Should be right in the finish.
5 Roly Glory Back from let-up and has had a flying start to their career. Yutaka Take a bonus. Commands serious thought.
6 Psammead First-up after 29 week break. Capable of racing on speed and rates highly with Akira Sugawara retaining the ride. Go well.
7 O K Sonic Let-up for six weeks. Has a lot of early speed but ran sixth at Hakodate in only second-up attempt. Not here.
8 Satono Eins Coming to a new trainer. Looks the leader but still not in this.
9 Noble Gale Last start winner to break maiden at Nakayama when fresh and has won or placed in both races so far. Sneaky chance.
10 Seven Meister Back after 16 week break. Comes to hand quickly and won at Niigata when last first-up. Has a lot of early speed. Outside hope.
11 Hakusan Tsukimitei Back from let-up and first start for a new trainer. Has genuine early speed but look to others.
12 Isachilkazenitatsu Back after 14 week break and has been flying of late. Capable of racing on speed. Should fight out the finish.
13 Agassi Finished midfield last start at Tokyo when fresh. Has genuine early speed and won at Hakodate in only second-up attempt. Outside hope.
14 Ange Groove Let-up. Capable of racing on speed and has the speed to overcome an unfavourable draw. Place only.
15 Kitano Soiree Finished midfield last start at Nakayama when fresh and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Has a lot of early speed. Sneaky chance.
16 Pompier Let-up and having first run for a new trainer. Has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier. Not the worst.
