1 Tokushi General Placed at only start at Nakayama and expect to lead/box seat having drawn the rails. Can surprise.
2 Sotenno Hikari Only just missed last start, finishing a nose back from the winner at Tokyo when fresh. Looks the leader but ran 12th at the track in only second-up attempt. Not here.
3 Rogue Tesoro First start for a new trainer. Go well.
4 Sammaru Mission Placed in first start this prep and finished two lengths off the winner last start at Nakayama. Junji Iwabe not a regular jockey for this trainer. Place chance.
5 Insel Bonita Ran four lengths back from the winner last start at Tokyo when first up. Tough to beat.
6 Revontulet Ran nan back from the winner at only start at Fukushima. Not here.
7 Vaseux Reine Returns from six week let-up. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but prefer others.
8 Covinha Let-up for nine weeks and first race for Masakazu Ikegami. Capable of racing on speed. Chance.
9 Miyabi Mortar Finished nan back at only start at Nakayama. Not here.
10 Red Sphene In the money last start running third at Fukushima. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Sneaky chance.
11 Wexford Returns from 10 week let-up and having first start for a new trainer. Has a lot of early speed. Go well.
12 Marshalliana Let-up for six weeks and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier. Capable of racing on speed. One of the main hopes.
