1 Kiichi Autumn First-up after 32 week break. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Drawn ideally. Expected to be a contender.
2 Steve Boss Resumes after spell of 24 weeks and placed at Sonoda on debut. Has a lot of early speed. Needs the breaks.
3 Royal Natal Finished seventh last start at Sonoda. Looks the leader and won once this prep at the track two runs back. Seems unlikely.
4 Cho Umakuiku Has placed in three runs from 10 this campaign. Has genuine early speed. Cannot rule out.
5 Key Classic Finished 10 lengths back last start at Sonoda when resuming but a track specialist winning twice at the track. Has a lot of early speed. Leading contender.
6 Meisho Akatsuki Has two wins from 10 attempts this campaign. Capable of racing on speed and has very strong form at Sonoda. Can surprise.
7 Brighten Only just missed last start, finishing half a length back from the winner at Sonoda. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Should run fitter for past attempts. Should go well.
8 Satono Medusa Finished sixth last start at Sonoda when fresh but a winning chance.
9 Snark Yuma Still a maiden after 11 starts. Capable of racing on speed but has not won at Sonoda previously. Prefer to watch go around.
10 Elucidator Finished fourth last start at Sonoda. Capable of racing on speed but outsider.
