Runner Comments
1 A Shin Ponmenoko Finished a nose back from the leader last start at Himeji and should find the lead easily having drawn well. Placed in first start this prep. Serious player.
2 Mr Tatsuo Finished two lengths off the winner last start at Himeji. Has genuine early speed. Must respect.
3 Polgara Yet to break out of maiden grade after 11 attempts and faces a rise in distance. Looks the leader. Can surprise.
4 Uma Nigo Only just missed last start, finishing a nose back from the winner at Himeji and should run fitter for past attempts. Tough to beat.
5 Areion Still a maiden after 17 starts. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but no wins in 12 past runs at Sonoda. Chance.
6 Nishino Kotei Unplaced in career. Has a lot of early speed but big increase in distance may not suit. Place hope.
7 El Condoria Yet to break out of maiden grade after 17 attempts. Looks the leader and up in journey. Not here.
8 Lady Majesty Finished eighth last start at Himeji. Capable of racing on speed and placed in two of three at Sonoda before but still looking to others.
9 Hiro Namikaze Has run in 11 races without placing. Capable of racing on speed but without a win in seven runs at Sonoda. Seems unlikely.
10 Siena Dance Has placed in three runs from five this campaign. Looks the leader. Should go well.
11 Winning Lore Finished sixth last start at Himeji and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Place.
12 Nishino Yell Yet to place in seven attempts but has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier. Looks the leader but still hard to have.
