Runner Comments
1 Inazuma Line First-up after 19 week break and generally strong first-up. Has genuine early speed. Expect to be right up there.
2 Forever Star Ran fourth last start at Ohi and should find the lead easily having drawn well. Has a lot of early speed. Can get the job done.
3 Wild Bouquet Has struggled in all four runs so far this campaign. Has genuine early speed but has not won at Ohi previously. Unlikely.
4 Hamano Kyoken First-up after 26 week spell. Has a lot of early speed. One of the main hopes.
5 Sound Lux First-up after 22 week break and placed at Ohi on debut. Perfectly placed.
6 Shu Nika Struggled so far this preparation. Looks the leader but looking to others.
7 Kyoei Amber Amongst the placegetters last start running third at Ohi. Looks the leader and has two placings from eight runs this prep. Not the worst.
8 Light Speed Still a maiden after 11 starts. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but no wins in three past runs at Ohi. Prefer to watch go around.
9 Atami Flash Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Ohi. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but has not won in nine outings to the track before. Not the worst.
10 Soul Record Has had 12 runs without breaking maiden. Has genuine early speed but has not won at Ohi previously. Hard to get enthused.
11 General Rich Resumes from a 16 week spell and has the speed to overcome an unfavourable draw. Should fight out the finish.
12 Lazhward Lapis Beaten by 19 lengths last start at Ohi. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader. Placed when fresh. Place.
13 Violet Rose Yet to break out of maiden grade after 10 attempts. Capable of racing on speed and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw but still not keen.
14 Luvi Ran 16th last start at Ohi when fresh. Looks the leader and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier but cannot entertain.
