1 Arumama Resumes after spell of 13 weeks and having first run for a new trainer. Should find the lead easily having drawn well. Well placed.
2 Billie's Bounce Has two wins from seven attempts this campaign. Capable of racing on speed and has won twice at Kochi before. Should fight out the finish.
3 Kitasan Driver Has seven wins from nine attempts this campaign. Has a lot of early speed and Hideya Sahara has had success aboard previously. Right in this.
4 Lalique A 12 start maiden. Has a lot of early speed but still cannot entertain.
5 Mission Rail Having first start for a new trainer. Capable of racing on speed and returns to shorter trip. Place.
6 Katsugeki Dairin Ran 10 lengths back from the winner last start at Kochi. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but has not won at the track previously. Outsider.
7 Fearless Heart Finished nine lengths off the winner last start at Kochi. Has a lot of early speed. Not the worst.
8 Midnight Minnie Finished 12 lengths back last start at Kochi. Has genuine early speed but not in this.
9 Train Train Beaten by 15 lengths last start at Kochi. Has plenty of early speed and a likely leader but has not won at the track previously. Unlikely.
10 Morning Pass Winner of four in a row after last start win at Kochi. Has genuine early speed. Hard to go past.
11 Mozu Manjiro Still a maiden after 17 starts but has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Has a lot of early speed but still not in this.
12 Old Bluff Still a maiden after 19 starts. Looks the leader and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier. Place only.
