Hi videostar for the first time i have just read your page on the top twenty tipsters it is a interesting read and well done to you.

Just one thing i would like to clear up i did'nt ever have a problem with DJ i personaly like what the man does

I had the problem with management always promoting one tipster all of the time i also sent luc a e,mail explaining that.... so as you can see my comments were that ALL TIPSTERS get a go for good work

Keep up the good work videostar yes i agree how crazy is 72 tips , i've been toying with a couple of systems for the past 3 weeks , nothing beats hard work, reading the form yourself checking your own
times, checking track conditions, checking weights and all the time consuming parts of punting.
It has cost me on the leaders board and i was on a hat-trick for the $500 monthly comp i will pick up the pieces very soon.

Good Luck

Hang in there Videostar....I was trying to apply my limited punting knowledge early in the piece and found myself $1000 down on the site....mixing my strategies just got me further in the red....just stick to your plan and it will all come together....

ubid2win.com one hot day a summer does not make. But I was stoked with yesterdays results - broke a long drought. Its not an easy game.

congrats on a good day mate - near 30% strike rate on the winners and some good odds there - can feel the tide changing for you ;)

Only advise that I can give is to go through your tips the night before - then check their prices the next morning - removing those that are likely to go around as the Red Hot favourites (odds on). AS these work against you in so many ways.

1. They reduce your profit to turnover dramatically (those people with High Strike Rate and Low Profit Turnover - are the people selecting the favourites all the time)
2. Dont be afraid to pick 10+ selections across a couple of tracks - it does not mean you punt on everyone but it does give you a good cross section.
3. Trick appears to get the strike rate and Profit on turnover up to a healthy 15 - 30%

At the end of the day I only punt on no more than 3 horses myself. But i want to give the competition a real shake and found you cant do it with 1-5 tips when other people are selecting 30 -70 tips on the same day.

Good luck with it mate and I do enjoy reading your summaries.

Intersting summary though a little rough - Nikki788 reversal was attributed to a massive 78 TIPS on the 12th Dec (which included a 70/1 winner!). I feel the real guide for best performers is based on current performance and you will see that for this month I have a 24% Strike Rate with a massive 52% Profit on turnover and an average win of $6.00+. you will also note when looking through my picks I regularly avoid selecting an odds on runner (this lowers your return on Profit)

This is compared to your selections:
Dener3 with a strike rate of 36% and a low 16% Profit on Turnover with avg win of $3.22
AVR with a strike rate of 25% and a miserly 6% Profit on turnover with avg win of $4.20
Nikki78 with a strike rate of 27% and a 29% Profit on turnover with avg win of $4.70

But as mentioned I liked reading the summary and chuckled with your views. At any rate a person selecting only 2 -7 selections a raceday will NOT be able to win any of the competitions up for grabs.
