I have been given 4 different sure things in the same race and none of them won?? Some trainers will tell you what you want to hear, horse is going great, barrier cost us? etc. What makes me laugh is these so called systems that people sell and only have 1 spot left if you want it for $500. I believe buyers want a good flow of winners, however buyers also want value and on occassions a good run or blocked run is missed by punters causing this horse to blow out to 20/1 next start. Thus making it a good eachway bet. Tipping 30 odd nags per day is ridiculous as how does the buyer know what to back? As 50% of these tips will be no good. Your point on chasing the $500 is difficult as a blow out can leave you struggling which makes you chase the odds?

I can only agree, i like to go for value as an eachway bet will get money back in your pocket on several occassions. Those who believe they can tip winner after winner are dreamin unless they pick 1 per day that pay 1.60 and thats about as exciting as mowing your mother inlaws lawn.
