Hi Phoenix
Have you just taken out a sub?
I'm getting a strange entry in my list of subbies with your name on it, but no details as per usual.
Thanks if you have!
Let me know by email at laymeplease@iinet.net.au and we can organize a 'bot and evening tips.

Yes I know how you feel Phoenix! I am starting to feel like the lucky unlucky punter! We just seem to be missing that little extra bit of luck needed to turn those seconds into winners. We were unlucky that Darren Beadman was injured in the barriers in Race 2, as he is the regular rider of XTENSION in races and trackwork and knows him very well, and Beadman not riding may have been the difference between winning and running 2nd.
Don't get me wrong, the winner is very good, so is Maxine Guyon, but Darren Beadman knows XTENSION much better than the replacement rider Johnny Lloyd, and he is a better judge of pace. XTENSION raced much closer in 3rd spot today and they ran the first two quarters in unexpectedly VERY FAST sectionals compared to standard. (First 400 in 25.31 which is 0.74 seconds faster than standard. Second 400 in 24.45 which was 0.72 seconds faster than standard. So the first two quarters in VERY FAST splits! On pace runners rarely win with two fast quarters!)
And NEW VISION, boy he looked the winner, but just couldn't get past PACKING OK with its 7 pounds claim.
So we are due for a change of luck. Fortunately I won't bet again until next Sunday, during which time I will do some praying to my Buddha of Good Luck! That may just give us a luck boost! If not I might have to take early retirement, as some wag suggested!
My next meeting is this Sunday for Sha Tin. But don't forget it is SHA TIN this Wednesday on the dirt ~ always a fun night but definitely not a betting one.
See you next Sunday with some Good Luck!

Hi Phoenix!
Ive just seen the two selections that my Hong Kong Handicapping Program has come up with today at Betfair Park Sandown. BOTH tips are showing $10 or more! I am going to have a $50 all up win bet for a payoff of $5000.
You cant imagine how excited that makes me if a program I developed for Hong Kong can pick winners in the wet in Melbourne.
My Deputy Head Handicapper, XavierGee is posting them from today. There is more details on my WALL

Thanks for your comment Phoenix. I will give a detailed reply on Thursday after Happy Valley Wednesday night.
I can let you into a little secret, last year I developed a revolutionary ratings program in Hong Kong. Ive developed a number of ratings models over the years, but this one works brilliantly for me in Hong Kong, particulary to do the First Handicaps and giving me a Short List for further in depth examination.
But recently Ive started testing it here on Aussie racing and Ive been amazed with the results its been getting here. And it seems to win on the wet tracks that I hate so much.
It does involve Ratings to a degree but in a different way to how Ratings are used here in Australia.
I go out spelling at the end of the Hong Kong season in a few weeks time, I will be spelling for a couple of months. My Deputy Handicapper keeps working while I am away keeping our horse database up to date etc etc.
And if the results are OK, he will be posting the selections here at PP during the winter months. We may even start posting these selections here as early as tomorrow Wednesday June 10 for Sandown Lakeside so that they have a public testing.
If we do, I will post you Wednesday morning.
