Guv - Your nothing but a mug punter....I've been watching your posts ever since your scathing and unprevoked attack on Hilton Donaldson..
That's all you are a 2 bit punter who loves to critisise others and doesn't contribute to the Australian Horse racing industry. You just bag out decent people you don't know while people likeHilton and myself flogg ourselvs out working 6-7 days a week supporting our Great Industry. P.S. most of your winnimg tips are obvious and the rest of them are way off the mark. I've been a well respected member of the industry for 15 years and people who are as quick to critisise and insult others like yourself are of no use to the SAJC, VRC, AJCor any part of the Aust. Industry.
Why don't you try macking a living in this industry....I Guarentee you WILL Fail!!!!!!!!

What a stupid ill-prepared rant Wazza! If you are a "well respected member of the industry" as you say then identify yourself!..You are taking personal affront at remarks not even directed at you.
Hilton Donaldson doesn't "work 6 or 7 days" to support the industry! He does it to support himself!...unless you are claiming he donates his wages back!...next you will be telling me that Tom waterhouse works his butt off to support the punter!
Hilton has far more vocal critics on this site than myself....he must be rubbing quite a few up the wrong way...but its only a racecall after all and a couple of digs at him by me over the years pales into comparison compared to the almighty sprays I have given other people in the industry.
Now, if you read my posts carefully and have followed me,as you claim, then you will notice that I take aim at the powerful interests in the industry who exploit battlers!...You will notice that I have been severe on the Waterhouses and the racing administrators who exploit punters and smaller owners....that in itself is a contribution to the industry!!....or do you think some of those twits in the media who carry on ingratiating themselves to the powerful and gloss over the injustices are the ones "supporting our great industry"...no...they are part of the problem.
Tell me these "decent" people I bag????....apart from your mate Hilton who I gave a serve to long ago for His Black caviar call. If these people want to be in the media and present an image but can't take criticism then they should be in another job...And if you are trying to tell me that The Waterhouses, Vlandys ,Messara etc are decent people....you've got to be kidding!!!!
As for my tips mate...hahaha...who gives a damn...i'm not asking you to back them...I couldn't care less what you think of them and your claim "most of your winning tips are obvious"is rubbish....I avoid favourites.
And as for..."you are of no use to the SAJC,VRC,AJC"...bloody oath i'm not!!...nor do I intend to be "of use" to these raceclubs...i'm not their stooge and will continue to call it as I see it...and as for the racing media, with a few exceptions, they are as weak as **** and a compliant tool of the industry and I will call it that way...I won't be a PR lackey which seems to be what you are expecting.
Yes, I have been a vocal critic of certain interests in the industry....and its bloody well warranted! Any fair minded person would welcome criticism of the vested interests in this industry.

Guv! Just checking my email and got one from you! Good to hear you miss me! lol. I'm on holidays at the moment, enjoying some winter sunshine in sunny Queensland. My last meeting for the Hong Kong season was the Champions and Chater Cup meeting on Sunday May 26.
10 years back, the end of season break was about 12 weeks. But nowadays the break is only 8 weeks as the season has been extended into July, and it's normally wet, and very hot and humid: so I take off after the Champions and Chater meeting which is the last Group 1 race of the season!
My main betting in Hong Kong is between meetings 25 and 69 .... (isn't that a magical number!) : this is when most horses have had at least 2 runs in the season, and when the tracks are consistently GOOD TO FIRM.
I really do like to have a *complete break* from racing for 3 months of the year to do things I usually don't have time to do during the busy HK racing season! I try not to think about horses ONCE during that time!
But, I'm thinking of coming back for the SEASON FINALE week: posting some of the highlights of the Hong Kong season, as the season draws to an end.
The Sha Tin season finale is on Saturday July 6. And this year, HAPPY VALLEY holds the FINAL MEETING on Wednesday July10.
I do love the END OF SEASON FINALES!
The 2013/2014 season begins in early September.
So, I should be in the mood after 5 weeks in the sun, sand and surf, so probably around July 4th I reckon.
Warm Regards

Great stuff DJ!!
Love that idea about having a spell and a freshen up. It's gotta work wonders.
Like your lifestyle balance! Too many people walking around miserable these days because they forgot the art of enjoying life and taking time to smell the roses.
Will actually ease right off myself when the Brissie carnival finishes next week and take a spell until the Spring carnival.
I'm in Vic where the weather will be dreary for the next few months...No better place to be than Qld right now so enjoy it mate.
cheers, Guv.

Hey Guv,
Good result Slipper Day for me I take it you cleaned up...? Love the way that Overreach always springs the gates. Fiveandahalf so brave. Dear Demi failed for me. Pumper roder her a gem and she didn't quicken. Really sad she didn't get the bob for 4th as I had her one out for fourth in a first 4 as a contingency. Thinking about putting it all on Hawthorn over West Coast today.
Money come for Hawks, into fav's. Missed the price but still think they will win.

GUV
Gday GG...well picked. Hope you got on the hawks..they romped in. yeah i had a pretty good day overall thanks to some early odds about fivehalf. Dear Demi is struggling bit...i thought she was in for a great campaign after that win last month. You were right about IAD..i think he's got fivehalf covered....he's an absolute star...the Rand Guineas and Rose Guineas were super runs...i had 500 on him for the Cox at 21 after those great runs...i reckon he and super cool are the two standouts for the Cox if Atlantic jewel doesn't come up.
GreedyGoblin
Yeah got on Hawks at just under flip of the coin. I had a feeling about Cyril with first goal 50 points Thought NIKNAT being out was the difference and made Hawks a betting prospect. I rarely bet on football.
Derby is exciting matchrace. Matchrace rarely go to script. Do you still think 512 loves a hard prep? Can he put in another Career best? For interest I might try backing 512 before the jump and laying off in the run his pattern allows for that. IAD is a great ''in run' prospect with his pattern would be keen on 1.80. Im inteseredted to look at acceptances. I hope the two star horses frighten off 100-1 chances hate to see a Waterhouse no hoper taking on 512 for the front.

GUV
Well done with hawks.I just can't get IAD's acceleration out of my mind...i would be afraid to back five and half to beat him. That said the 1.6 about IAD doesnt interest me either...i will just watch the race. I don't think five will take any harm at all from sat's run...if he could get IAD off the bit at the 700 he might have a chance....so in the run may be the best shot as you say.
GreedyGoblin
What a win! More impressive than the Guineas. I thought he was a better bet than Cavier. Your Cox Plate bet looks great. Had a little place bet on Kingdoms. Sadly betfair exotics went down.
GUV
you picked IAD as a special horse early on GG...well done. hope they go for the cox and dismiss this talk about the Arc de triomphe. i reckon hes good enough to win cox-melb cup double.well done with kingdoms.
GreedyGoblin
boxed the 3yo in the Donnie! and backed the winner the place. Makes the IAD form look good!
GreedyGoblin
IAD 3.3 for Cox Plate with Sportsbet! Makes the 1.40 for QE look like value. I like Manighar the place in the race also keen on Gullible in the 3YO fillies race. Good Luck
GUV
yeah GG....6 months till the Cox so you couldn't take 3.4 eventhough he may start odds on, on the day..I"m hoping he stays sound. I might have a speculative place bet on Happy Trails at the 7.5 a place tomorrow.. good punting.
GUV
GG...if you have an account with sportsbet or ias they are offering $4 about exceed and excel to win sires premiership under 'racing specials' its a steal i reckon, though they only let me on to win $500. He's $1M in front of fastnet rock and is probably a $1.5 chance.
GreedyGoblin
Cheers Guv. Got on EaE to win 450. Nice tip happy trails .was 4.4 on betfair 5in before race and manigahar 2.8. So backed mine as thought overs and happy trails unders broke even on race thanks to in run on winner. Got 7$ @ 800 could see was in t right spot criisong amd IAD under pressure 4 lengths back. QE,fav graveyard. Lohnro, shotgun lodge, IAD a few that cometo mind that gone down well into the red.
GreedyGoblin
Hvasstan would be a bad result. Don't like him think local hioctane the one to beat in S.A derby. How does Aires premiership work? Is it calculated by winning prize money or all prize money?
GUV
yeah Gg..sires goes on total money from all placings in all races. with most of the big carnivals over exceed should hold on with his million dollar lead unles a fastnet rock horse like sea siren can win the doom Stradbroke etc. the $4 is super value.
GreedyGoblin
We need Your Song to go down with an injury. It's come out of nowhere to jeopodise this brilliant bet. It looks too good up there running .aginst b graders and tired horses.
GUV
I know GG!!!..its come from absolutely bloody nowhere and they have put stradbrokes first prize purse up to 1m which could blow us out of the water!!!...ive just had a saver on fastnet at 2.0 to cover me but it does flatten the profits.
GreedyGoblin
I heard sea Siren is coming good too. Pay to ignore current form and keep safe if she goes. s around on dead track or better.
GreedyGoblin
12-1 about Commands on Sportsbet seems value in the Sires Premiership. Epaulette is fav for the Stradbroke and Commands runners usually chalk up winners on wet tracks. Amazing how 'off' this market has been. 2.1 Exceed and Excel 1.4 Fastnet Rock 6-1 Lohnro and 12-1 Commands. I can't work it out.
GUV
Gday GG...well done with Sea Siren...hope you got on for the place. If epaulette can win the Straddie it will put commands in a challenging position as he will pick up $1m. I had a little saver on him too. I will prob break even if commands or fastnet win the title and make small profit if Exceed can win it. the trouble with these "specials" markets is that they only let you on for piddling amounts.
Spirit of boom is flying and the 9.5 a place appeals in the straddie...funnily I prefer him in a fast run 1200 but he's well over the odds for the place in straddie. good punting.

Hey Guv. I'm a bit shocked by the game tonight. The Tigers really played great team footy and West Coast did not turn up. Well done with your bet.
GUV
thanks GG...it was arse...i just thought WC are a bit overrated and took a bit of value but still down on AFL this season.
think we are now a bit rocky on the sires bet...fastnet is finishing hard.
are you considering backing any of the aussie sprinters at the Ascot carnival?..i might have a flutter on Shamexpress,Sea Siren and mental this year...odds should be okay as they are not the best horses we have sent over.

I responded to Wazza on his wall. Obviously new to the site. Typical of a racing employee. Can't take any criticism from anyone outside the industry.
If we can get through the Stradebroke I think Exceed and Excel will win. In saying that I think Your Song and Epaulette are the horses to beat. Especially Your Song with the weight advantage. I thought Sea Siren would win that 1400 metre G1. mares race Sat week so if she is off to Ascot we dodged one their.
I won't be betting on those Aussie sprinters will be unders due to our well deserved reputation. I would be interested in Moolight Cloud if she lines up. She was very unlucky not to beat BC last year. Last year I took the shorts about Black Cavier and So You Think. Only bet on Champions O.S. For interest might test myself with an ''in the run'' betfair punt. Dettori might fire up after his coke scandal. Good luck.

yeah...your song was murdered last start and is the one to beat...even more so if its wet. I'm hoping spirit of boom can fluke a place.
Is that wazza guy bagging others too? he misses the point.
Hope we hold on...did you have a saver on fastnet and commands?

nah no saver. Exceed and Excel has kept that 600k lead since the 10,000. It all comes down to the Stradbroke. I lost my bankroll with a couple of cumpulsive bad Saturdays. Hawkesbury into Scone. Loose every year on those two meetings. Did my penance, had a spell for a fortnight. That 12-1 about Commands was juicy wouid love even 20 on that. I'm going to save on Your Song. I'm back now turned $100 into $1200 on Sat with 15-20 ''in run'' winners. Was seeing them like beach balls plus had a couple tight photos go my way with iggy pop and price of capers. Some days are diamonds.
GUV
good!..you're brilliant with those in-run bets. Iggy was a very close photo...well done. I,ve had my best punting season this year and I can thank the photo finish for it...I got 4 or 5 really close ones go my way on crucial bets and it makes all the difference between an average year and a good year...the year before was a lemon and the photo killed me when Red cadeaux got beaten by a bee's knee in the Cup... i knew I was in big trouble when R.Freedman said I had won!!...would have got 14k on that race!!...but the luck has turned now...amazing.
GreedyGoblin
Totally agree about the photo. At Scone the fortnight earlier I lost every tight finish, yet I kept saying my luck will turn ít averages out on a day'... it didn't. I just hope for a 50/50 split. You gotta know when to hold and fold. Yeah I'm having a winning season as well, which is novel. My punting buddy was on Red Cadeaux and I was on Lucas Cranach we both got very excited that day. R.Freedman, I shudder. Do you know he had a 400k a year admin job with the AJC? He helped run a great brand into the ground. I have to mute the smug fu.k or I find myself yelling at the T.V like a crazy person.
GUV
yeah GG...Spirit of Boom had a place sown up every where except on the line. I backed buffering the win on the day as well when I saw it was suiting leaders...then linton came from nowhere! throw in my win bet on planet voyage and my bet on geelong 1-39 at $8 and it was an unlucky day all round.
We might hold on in the Sires. I think Skyerush is a fastnet mare is running in the big mares race in two keeks worth 300k to the winner but apart from that there aren't a lot of big money races left, so here's hoping.

GreedyGoblin
Just checked Skyerush. Not a Fastnet Rock. You'd think Streama, Steps in Time, Red Tracer, or Yosei. I think the 2.2 is value. I wonder if they will let me on for more...
I had another great day 'in the run' couldn't get enough on Pearl of bells in the Randwick stayers race. Later had a decent bet on Moriarty and followed it up with 30-1 about Jive talk at Kembla 2 mins later. Rare form I'm in. another + 1200 day which is massive for me.
I reakon you could of layed off on Buffering at the 200 for even money for thousands. Planet Voyage I looked to get on at the 300 metre mark and was offered 1.8 so no bet. You should think about hedging especially on a leader like Buffering.

You are right GG..Skyrush is not a fastnet rock...I must have mixed it up. Try to get on Exceed again..hard to see how fastnet can make up 500k in the last 8 weeks of winter.they just let me on for another $400.
well done in the run...you are killing them.!! Haha...I didn't even notice linton till it stuck its big body through!!...I think my reflexes are too slow for in the run betting!

GUV
...by the way GG...your alter ego Munce did me no favours today. I had 250 place shamardashing at $7.5 in the Cup and he had it 3 wide all the way from barrier 6!!...hung on well till the last 200.
GreedyGoblin
Last week he took off at the 700 on Sizzling and people labelled him a genius. I don't know how you land 3 wide from barrier six. Bad luck. I do like betting on him up their against the Brisbane jockeys. N
GreedyGoblin
I went with the alter ego of GG as for years I called Munce ''The Goblin'' then after his Hong Kong indiscretion I expanded it. He has always reminded me of the Streetfighter character called Blanka.
No one going better than J. Cassidy ATM. Nash was top class yesterday. His ride on Moriarty was a highlight. I had my heart in my mouth at the 300. He managed to keep his momentum whilst Lightinthenight tried to pocket him and hit the gas at the exact right moment.

Fastnet only has 4 starters this weekend. 2 are well in the market. Exceed has more starters with relaxed and happy about the best chance. God win by ceasars princess first up yesterday. I think exceed needs another
200k to be safe which is very likely.
200k to be safe which is very likely.
GUV
Great research GG!!...you have boosted my confidence...i'm starting to think we will hang on after all !
GUV
GG...they have just stripped Hvastaan of his win in the alister clark. i'm sure they will have to take the 142k off fastnet rock's winnings too!
GreedyGoblin
Yeah Fastnet should be back below 10million now. Sportsbet have shut down the market. I went out to Randwick Easter Monday. I saw a good Fastnet Rock prospect Eagle Island D Hayes. Needs a dead track or better was carrying excess condition. Picked Bye the Bye from the yard had 5/5 @ $140/1. Was my first pick. Missed the 200/1 on Betfair. I got put off by the price as it was my first pick on looks. You don't get too many on top picks at that price.
GUV
you don't get many winners at that price full stop! well picked. good that sea Siren went to U.k and avoided the straddie and tatts. makes Exceeds job that much easier
GreedyGoblin
On Sea Siren, I speak to John O Shea's farrier every few months. I sell him booze. He told me that the horse has never been better. Coolmore paid 2 million for her a couple months back, they ain't stupid. With BC winning the TJSMITH i've watched the last 200 a few times. Sea Siren gets home as good as anything. If the track is ok I will have an in interest bet on her at Ascot.

But noticed your posting on roy higgins, about every horse he would say "It will give you a good sight..." when the punters want a winner not a good sight.Do you know tall Phil Mac L,or Stewie with the glasses who used to pencil for Mann the bookmaker ? I've lost contact with them, that's the main reason l came on this site and put up a photo, hoping they would recognise me if they were on here.much appreciated mate..

I vaguely remember Brian Mann the bookie but no idea where all those guys are now mate. good luck with finding them.

last text;l don't know when my dog will die (because l look after him like no other:he has a blended drink of oranges, apples and fish fingers, just for breakfast),but when l do you can post what horses you're interested in,and l will go the stalls and check on it and post back whether it's quietly playing chess with the strapper or going on about what it did last night...

p.s. l was betting 400 a race using a 'punter's book' of 3-2-1 ie 200 on my first pick,150 on my second and 50 on my third, with a 60% strike rate because l was on-course and could see the horses. The stress got the better of me in the end but l am older now and ready to have another crack when my dog moves on to the great dog kennel in the sky;l have slippery wooden floors and he is half crippled,l can't leave him flailing about while i'm out enjoying myself...

thanx GUV;l know it sounded like l was blowing my own trumpet but l didn't get to that level overnight, and l felt l had to let some on here know where l stand (at your expense !).Bitchy comments like "I'm not here for a laugh..." etc. are putting me off my game so l am just going to stick with the formguide from now on;l only came to this site because the formguide is as good as The Sportsman, and it saves me buying it.cheers mate n.n.t.r (no need to reply)

Re. In running betting. Normal connection fine. My edge is i have been watching horse racing since a kid. Judging pace is the key.I find I'm putting on bets after they go 200 metres. Then laying those bets at 500 to go. Only pitfalls clerical errors. I have given people 18/1 instead of 1.8. Major advantage is being able to get more on when your runner finds the right trail. Conversely being able to stay out or get overs if you miss the start.

Footy a good result for you. Great game. Brown Doubt on Monday Kenso. I think it will be a benchmark 90 horse..... Top looker and step up to 1400 suits.

Hey Guv,
Ichihara looks a banker at evens the place. Might even win. It should get the run to go very close. The Cats 'run' over Hawks continues. AMAZING GAME. Gunston looks good. Hawks had a similar run of wins against Cats in late 80's early 90's. Good luck.

Football is unpredictable but the Hawks are going to win this year. We currently have Franklin on the sidelines. We are going to struggle to find positions for 3-4 other players including Bateman, Cheney, Gunston, Tom Murphy, Clinton Young. The 2.50 is value, after we demolish Cats this Friday. Hawks going to be 2.00. Benetta at Kembla 2.30 today might give you some ammo/cash. good l;uck

See this horse now tipped as a Group 1 prospect. Couldn't place in a maiden that day. Winner Longport pretty handy filly.
