Corton Lad, rank outsider in the field, you tip it and it wins by 2 1/2 lengths. Unbelievable!! :) ps..keep it up, I am 30cm taller thanks to my wallet :)

Bundy, I just subscribed yesterday. Your performance looks phenomenal.
What time on average do you release tips?

Hi carlnz, I always endeavour to post no later than 9pm aest. I could post as early as 7pm aest but late changes can be expected. Thanks for the subscription and may the winners follow,

You are unreal mate. You deserved the win with Strongpoint. Starts at 65/1 and trades down to $1.42 and beaten 3/4 in the last bit. Shows they do not need to win to make good profit.

footy99 Hi, I do some trading pre off as described earlier but never Lay first. Given the average odds of my selections, laying to back is to risky for someone as cautious as myself.

Do you only trade in the run or do you have an idea of where the runners will trade pre-race?
I notice the runners last night just about all doubled their price in the last 5 or so minutes of betting which presumably is a good trading opportunity if you can pick it.

Thank you all for the comments.
TheProfessional, I started with Betfair some 10 years ago now in a very cautious manner.
I was scalping markets and regularly looking for opportunities to garner “free” bets wherever possible. Generally speaking I still work toward obtaining “free” bets on my selections before Backing them with a view to Hedge out when I feel a reasonable profit margin is available.
I think it fair to say that I trade “Not to Lose” on each selection which at times means I will do a scratch trade or take a minor loss where available if I feel my selection is not performing as expected In the run. I realise trading is not for everyone but it suits my style of obtaining consistent earnings without ever the need for a large bank.
So after 10 years you could say I am still cautious. As for sustainability, I have been working the UK for 30 months now and believe I have a good grasp on their racing. As always though, time is a great leveller and we will just have to take it one day at a time. Cheers, and also congratulations on your Singapore efforts.

Josefblow, my concerns directly relate to those who do not trade, but back selections to win only.
My records show that the period late April to late May has my lowest win strike rate for the flat turf racing. Runners have still turned a profit for me from trading. I use Betfair only where it is usually never a problem for me to get the required amount matched. I urge caution in bet sizes for win only players during this period.

Bundy, why would you need to trade your selections? Win only betting is showing a massive profit or is this not sustainable long term. Also what do you mean when you say you trade your selections. Do you back them at a certain price and they lay them at a lower price. Your win results are very good though, similar to my Singapore win results. Can you keep it up though?

Even if he does back them to win. Why risk the uncertainty. Back it higher lay it lower. Betfair has given people a career to be professional traders if you can accurately predict the market.

Interested to know more re: this comment: I do urge some caution as we move into the UK Flat season.
Can you tell us what your concerns are, and how you feel this change affects the market?

"I am an in-running trader therefore my selections are based on finding runners that suit that scenario."
