SYDNEY, Aug 10 AAP - Guy Walter continued his strong start to the new racing season with a winning double on Wednesday and hopes to keep the momentum going at Rosehill on Saturday.

Wins to Our Barney and the impressive Dancing Attendance at Canterbury took Walter to four metropolitan wins from just four meetings to start the season.

Walter only has two runners entered at Rosehill on Saturday - Delzera and Bidden in the Fairfield RSL Handicap (1400m) - but both are last-start winners.

"Both produced very strong wins last start," Walter said.

"Bidden has drawn out wide on Saturday so I'm not totally sure if she's going to run just yet."

Delzera, a four-year-old mare by Grandera, scored by three lengths on a heavy track at Warwick Farm on July 23 and Walter is happy with her progress since.

"She's going well, she worked nicely on Tuesday morning and I think she can run well on Saturday," he said.

Promising mare Dancing Attendance brought up Walter's double at Canterbury and the astute trainer has high hopes for the four-year-old as her distances increase.

A half-sister to Precedence, Dancing Attendance made it back-to-back victories when she proved a class above in the Ascot Club Handicap (1900m), winning by 1-1/4 lengths.

"She could be a really nice mare," Walter said.

"She's bred to stay and is a half-sister to Precedence. She belongs to Bloomsbury Stud and I think if you get a stayer with a turn of foot you are looking all right and that's what she's got."
