Nathan Berry could miss Group One ride

SYDNEY, April 2 AAP - Apprentice Nathan Berry faces the prospect of missing a Group One ride after being the only Golden Slipper day jockey to fall foul of stewards.

Berry was suspended for four meetings for his ride on the unplaced Madibagold in the Sebring Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

He will be out from April 11 to April 18.

The Warwick Farm-based apprentice has been booked to ride Keen Commander in the Group One Galaxy at Randwick on April 16 but he will need to win an appeal to keep the mount.
