MELBOURNE, Nov 29 AAP - Premier trainer Peter Moody is poised to cast a large shadow over Saturday's Caulfield meeting.

Among a list of nine runners is promising filly Our Celladoor, who is early favourite for the second race.

Moody will start a trio of runners in the Carpet Call Hcp (1440m) headed by favourite Lampedusa while White Universe will line up for him in the Victoria Cup (1440m) with three wins from his past four outings.

Macedonian, who has struggled for form since winning the Sandown Cup in 2010, is on the comeback trail and resumes after a lengthy break in the CFV Great Strides Handicap (2000m).

While none of Moody's runners managed to secure any major silverware over the spring carnival, he has been cheered by the addition of Group Three winning stayer My Quest For Peace to his stable.

The stallion, formerly trained by Luca Cumani, was overlooked for a start in the Group One Hong Kong International Vase (2400m) and will remain in Victoria.

OTI Racing's Terry Henderson said he hoped the five-year-old would be able to copy the autumn path blazed by another of their stars, triple Group One winner Manighar, who blossomed under Moody before missing the spring through injury.

"He'll follow the same path as Manighar last season," Henderson told racingvictoria.net.au.

"At this stage the plan is to go to the paddock, have a brief let-up and be ready to go in the early autumn.

"He's probably not a horse that could take as many races as Manighar did, but the short-term objective is the Australian Cup."
