Riproar can win but is too short for me. His first-up rating was strong at Geelong but that was on a heavy track and now he goes straight from 1340m to the mile against some strong competition. Grid Girl is equal favourite in my market. She won well first-up in Australia before running super second-up in the inferior ground on the back of a very fast early tempo. She was ridden poorly last start at Pakenham and still got the job done, the mile suits.

Generally a moderate beginner, Little Mix is likely to settle in the last few and may be forced to make a long, looping run from the tail, which can be difficult to do at Mornington.
