Son of Black Caviar breaks maiden in fine style at Bairnsdale
Black Caviar's son, I Am Caviar, became the latest of the champions progeny to chalk up a win and he did it in style at Bairnsdale on Monday.
Having his second start since returning as a gelding, the three-year-old showed blistering speed to score in the opening race by 3-1/2 lengths.
Luke Nolen, rider of Black Caviar throughout her illustrious career, rode I Am Caviar at his first three starts yet it was Billy Egan aboard for the maiden victory in the 1000m contest on Monday.

"It was a good win today, I thought he gave me a good feel last Tuesday and although he didn't beat much I was pretty happy in the manner that he did it," Egan told Racing.com in a post race interview.
"He's still slowly figuring it out but watching most of his replays and the way he raced today it has been a nice improvement.
"Each run he's got a little bit better and he really rounded out the race today and conserved a bit of energy mid race which he had been struggling to do.
"He's picking up some good racing habits and finishing his races off."
I Am Caviar, which was rolled on debut as a piping hot $1.28 favourite, got the job for punters at $1.70.
