Trust in a Gust set to continue racing
Trust in a Gust will not be joining the list of Group One retirements just yet, with a spring campaign firmly on the agenda.
There was speculation the dual Group One-winner would be sent to stud after a trip to the Brisbane had to be aborted last week when the four-year-old suffered a minor leg injury boarding a flight.
But Swettenham director Adam Sangster told Racing.com on Thursday that following discussions with the horse's original owners, a decision was made to give Trust in a Gust a six-week spell in preparation for the spring.
"With so many other stallions heading to stud this season we felt it would be good for the racing public to see this horse continue racing for at least another 12 months," Sangster said.
Dual Gr.1 Winner Trust In A Gust will have a 6 week spell & will remain in training aimed towards major WFA Gr.1's through the spring.

Sangster said Trust in a Gust had completely recovered from the minor injury, but it was in the best interests of the horse to not push-on to Brisbane for the Doomben 10,000.
