HONG KONG, Oct 17 AAP - Tim Clark helped lift the spirits of John Moore after riding Jacobee to a breakthrough Hong Kong stakes win.

Clark enjoyed his finest day since arriving in Hong Kong at the start of the season with a winning double on Sunday.

Jacobee's Group Three win in the Sa Sa Ladies' Purse was the highlight ride for the former champion Sydney apprentice while the victory also provided Moore with a timely tonic.

The champion trainer was deflated after Mighty High's Caulfield Cup failure on Saturday but he had high praise for Jacobee's no-nonsense approach to racing.

"Maybe he's just a touch below the very best in Hong Kong, but he's so genuine you know he'll keep producing his best whoever he's up against," Moore told the Hong Kong Jockey Club website.

Clark's double contributed to a stellar day at Sha Tin for Australian jockeys.

Darren Beadman, who rode two winners at Caulfield on Saturday to soothe his disappointment over Mighty High's run, partnered Sunny Sky to victory in the first race.

Beadman and Clark were numerically upstaged by Brett Prebble who collected a treble courtesy of wins on Country Charm, Redoute Star and Noble Alpha.

Prebble shares the early jockeys' premiership running with Douglas Whyte on 11 wins with Beadman two behind in third place.
