Victoria Derby - Niagara was a good thing beaten last and will atone here. Nash will have learnt to let this bloke roll and he looks the best stayer for mine.

Best Bet - Flemington Race 2 # 3 Green Moon. Outstanding run when wide throughout in the Caulfield Cup. Will get a much better run here from his good draw and rocket into Cup contention.

Best Value - Flemington Race 5 # 8 Glass Harmonium. Total forgive last start when he missed the kicked and nothing went right. Much better suited to Flemington where he has performed well.

Best Backed - Flemington Race 7 # 16 Mosheen. Punters stepped straight into this promising filly where she's been $5.50 into $4.60

Lay of the day - Flemington Race 6 # 1 Manawanui. I don't think this bloke will stay as his win last week against an ordinary lot proved nothing for mine. Big risk at the shorts on offer.

Judgement

Mackinnon Stakes - I'm totally forgiving last week's run of Glass Harmonium in the Cox Plate. He was stirred up before the start causing him to miss the jump and settled in no man's land for him. Back to Flemington where he has performed well in both runs he'll be on the pace and can score at nice odds. Rekindled Interest is the main danger as he should've finished much closer last start.

Victoria Derby - Niagara was poorly ridden last start when taking a sit behind slow horses and being a good thing beaten. I feel his wide gate is a plus as Nash can roll forward and ride him like the best stayer in the race. Induna is the only other winning hope for mine coming off a dominant win at Geelong and he also looks as though the distance will be of no concern.

Myer Classic - Top filly Mosheen is beautifully placed here under these conditions receiving 8kg off her main rivals. She has won at this track and distance and has the ability to park right on the speed making her a special. Glamour mare More Joyous is the obvious danger as her class carries her such a long way but I doubt she can give the filly weight, a start and a beating.
