Flemington R4 No.5 Intrepid Eagle
Barrier one is far from ideal but with any sort of luck. Intrepid Eagle should be finishing in the money here at better than $2 for the place. His last three efforts have been excellent, the last couple in this grade, and this is no harder than his most recent assignment at Bendigo. Hopefully he steps cleanly and Currie can tag the favourite Liberty State who has drawn on his immediate outside.
Kensington R2 No.10 Redbreast
Looks to be the most promising horse om this card and one that may measure up during the Queensland winter carnival. Gets here off a freshen up following a dominant Hawkesbury win back in February and the start prior, she ran third to Ducasse on debut. Won a trial by seven lengths leading into this and is drawn to get every chance.
Sunshine Coast R2 No.10 Pretty Little Liar
Some moderate ones here and Pretty Little Liar (10) is resuming with Ryan Maloney after trialling strongly on rain-affected ground. She showed promise at her first preparation and while longer may be better will be too classy for these.
