BRISBANE, May 31 AAP - Some facts about the Group One $400,000 Queensland Oaks (2400m) to be run at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

Set weights for three-year-old fillies.

First run in 1951 when won by Maltmaid.

Not held in 1957.

Notable winners include Evening Peal (1955); Mode (1971); Analie (1973); Denise's Joy (1976); Surround (1977); November Rain (1981); Bravery (1988); Triscay (1991); Royal Magic (1992); Slight Chance (1993); Joie Denise (1995); Arctic Scent (1996); Ethereal (2001); Eskimo Queen (2007); Riva San (2008).

Trainers with a runner this year who have won the race before: Clarry Conners - Invest (Allow 2006, Zagalia 2003); Gerald Ryan - Angel of Mercy (Mon Mekki 2002, Arctic Scent 1996); Peter Snowden - Angelus (Purple 2009); Peter Moody - Rock Hit (Riva San 2008); Graeme Rogerson won with Scarlett Lady in 2011 when training in partnership with his wife Debbie. He now co-trains with Lee Freedman and will be represented by Dowager Queen on Saturday.

Jockeys with a ride this year who have won the race before: Chris Munce - Miss Artistic (Miss Keepsake 2010, Vouvray 2004, Zagalia 2003, Giovana 2000); Jim Cassidy - Scorpio Queen (Bravery 1988); Kerrin McEvoy - Angelus (Purple 2009); James McDonald - Poste Restante (Scarlett Lady 2011); Hugh Bowman - Love Excels (Vitesse Dane 2005); Larry Cassidy - Tuskegee Hawk (Arctic Scent 1996).

Only four fillies - Analie (1973), Bravery (1988), Royal Magic (1992) and Riva San (2008) - have won the Queensland Oaks-Queensland Derby double since the Derby was moved to the winter in 1973.
