Efficient and Alandi Cup topweights

MELBOURNE, Sept 1 AAP - 2007 winner Efficient and his Lloyd Williams-owned stablemate Alandi have been given equal topweight of 58kg for the 150th Melbourne Cup.
The Godolphin pair of Cavalryman and Mastery, along with Japanese star Jaguar Mail, are next in the weights with 57.5kg while last year's winner Shocking has 57kg as do international raiders Meiner Kitz and Rite Of Passage.
Efficient, who is not fully qualified for the race, has not started since winning the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington in October last year.
Williams has indicated he is an unlikely starter.
Another Godolphin entrant, Campanologist, has 56kg along with Metal Bender and Bart Cummings' star So You Think.
Efficient and Alandi also share topweight of 58kg in the $2.6 million Caulfield Cup (2400m) on October 16.
