Dunaden preparing for Hong Kong Vase
Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden's work rate will be stepped up on Tuesday when he will gallop on the turf track at Sha Tin ahead of Sunday's International Vase.

HONG KONG, Dec 5 AAP - Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden's work rate will be stepped up on Tuesday when he will gallop on the turf track at Sha Tin ahead of Sunday's International Vase.
Mikel Delzangles' travelling representative Aymeric Candas said the horse had settled into his surroundings well.
The Vase (2400m) will be Dunaden's first race since his thrilling Melbourne Cup triumph over Red Cadeaux, the English stayer who is among his opposition on Sunday.
"He settled well here and has the advantage of being in Hong Kong for a good week as he came straight from Australia," Candas said.
"He did not do much this morning because he will work over the turf tomorrow. Everything's going according to plan so far."
Red Cadeaux's handler Robin Trevor-Jones was also happy with how his horse had coped with the trip from Australia.
"Everything has gone fine since Melbourne and he's at his racing weight," Trevor-Jones said.
"He has just been tootling along, but we'll probably give him a blow on Wednesday or Thursday.
"That will be decided when the boss (Ed Dunlop) arrives."
With no Australian contenders in the four international Group One events, New Zealander Jimmy Choux will represent the region in the Mile.
Runner-up to Pinker Pinker in the Cox Plate, Jimmy Choux remained in Australia after his fourth in the Emirates Stakes on November 5 and was flown to Hong Kong last week.
Trainer John Bary and jockey Jonathan Riddell are due in Hong Kong on Tuesday to supervise the NZ Horse of the Year's final preparations.
Bary said the four-year-old had travelled well but he was slightly concerned that Jimmy Choux was on his own after being used to the company of other horses.
The lead-up to the International meeting begins on Wednesday night with an international jockeys' challenge at Happy Valley.
Black Caviar's jockey Luke Nolen will represent Australia.
