SYDNEY, July 2 AAP - Hugh Bowman raced to the lead in the NSW provincial jockeys' premiership by riding half the program at Wyong on Thursday.
Bowman is on track for a premiership double with him leading Corey Brown by nine wins in the Sydney premiership ahead of Saturday's Rosehill meeting.
The four winners at Wyong took Bowman to 43, three ahead of apprentice Tommy Berry in the provincial title race.
Bowman's winning ways kicked off aboard Munificent before he scored on Sadhana, Gypsy Ruler and Bab Al Shams.
He has a solid book of rides at Rosehill which include last-start Takeover Target Stakes winner Strat's Flyer in the feature, the Listed Civic Stakes (1400m).
Brown also has a busy day and is booked to ride the impressive last-start winner Mr Unforgettable in the Civic Stakes.
