The Perth Cup, held at the Ascot racecourse, is a 2400 metre Group Two handicap event for gallopers aged three years and up.

The 2013 Perth Cup, which jumps on New Year's Day Tuesday the 1st of January, offers $500,000 in prize money.

During the Perth Cup Ranger will face a talented field that includes last year's place-getter God Has Spoken, Mr. Moet who won the C B Cox Stakes and Christmas Cup winner Cantonese.
