How does the ladder board work?
The Ladder Board shows you how everybody is ranked against one another based on their past performance. It also acts as the marketplace for users to sell their tips which will be racing in the future. The difference from a normal ladder or 'leader' board is that the Punters Paradise Ladder Board only shows users which are currently selling tips, also known as 'active' users. Users which are not active are hidden from the ladder board until they decide to sell some tips again.
Everybody has a ranking on the ladder board but this ranking changes depending on how you view the ladder board. For example, the user JOHNNY might be good at tipping horses for the place (1st, 2nd or 3rd) but he may be no good at picking horses just to win (1st). This means he would have a higher ranking on the ladder board viewed by 'Place Bets' and a lower ranking for 'Win Bets'.
Even though a user may be hidden from the ladder board because they are not selling tips each user still has a ranking. This ranking is calculated based on where the user would currently be positioned on the ladder board they were to start selling tips. You can view this calculated ranking on the performance page of any user (i.e. from their profile page click 'Performance).
