He has had a great yr. Simple as that. I agree the judging is farcical but you can still make $$ off it. Judd got crucified early in the yr, cost him plenty of votes. Dal is a proven vote getter. I only had him marked around 22 but he has been getting more than what I thought.
Pendlebury not polling R15,16,17 has cost him dearly. He should have at least quinella'd with Swanny. Deserved winner, just a year too late!

I was wrong. Didn't cost me a cent though. Honestly though the brownlow is a Farcical Swan had a better year last year the umpires must of felt sorry for him.

I understand what you are saying in theory Plugga. I think Montagna played much better in some games than Dal yet he just didnt poll. Mitchell is another one. I had him 27-36 (much too hard to shorten up) but a lot of his games and Boyd too for that matter were just weight of possessions. Judd (early rnds) clearly got a tough run. Mitch Robinson was taking his votes hahaha
Well done Money. At least I can hang my hat on Goodes being a flop this year. Every man and his dog was tipping him, I just kept shaking my head at them. Swaaaannnnnnnyyyyyyyyy! Love it.
Priddus as top vote getter at West Coast can thank the best big man in the game Dean Cox for that showing.
i spent $620 on bets tonight banking quinella's with Pendles and Judd....lucky for my small bets earlier in the year with Betfair on Swann @ 21s and 17s i got back $636.00....spewin i had Hawks flag - Swan Brownlow going for 5.5K...so close!!
So going with the umps trend Pendlebury was left short. Maybe we should get on him early for next year, as the hard done by player gets it the year after. Wudda liked to be a fly on Sam Mitchells wall after round 18!.
I barrack for the Hawks, i knew he'd had a great year...but was a little nervous when he was leading just prior to them interviewing Hodgey! Glad he didn't win it outright!
Be good if Swan copped a game, sorry Maggie fans. Carn the cats !
Well what irony lads, Swan is raging fav last year and Judd comes from nowhere then Judd is raging fav and Swan comes from nowhere.
He didn't look to happy. Heard it had something to do with not inviting his family like the year he supposedly was 'robbed'.
There will be one notable absentee this year for the Brownlow Medallist's function the day after this year's winner is announced - Jim Stynes. What an awesome bloke on and off the field he was. RIP big fella.
Well said cracka.
Who would have thought that an Irishman who couldn't kick the oval ball straight over a 15 meter distance, and cost his club a Grand Final appearance in his debut year (When running across the mark to give Buckanara a 15m penalty enabling Hawthorn to win the preliminary final after the final siren), would develope into a brownlow medalist, set the record for consecutive games played and save his beloved Melbourne (the oldest football club in the world) from extinction in its darkest hour. Whilst doing all that creating and maintaining one of the most respected charities (Reach foundation) in the county. No wonder so many warmed to him so easily, i'm a Collingwood supporter as many of you know, but Jimmy will be sorerely missed by all in the Football and greater communities.

From memory Lilydale, Stynes actually followed an opposition player through between Buckenara and the man on the mark causing the free kick to be given. That rule was subsequently changed allowing a player to follow the opposition player through the mark if within a metre of that player.
