Ok lets have a chat about the summer series of cricket. First discussion: Australia v New Zealand which is currently at the end of day 2. Kiwis bowled out for 395. Aussies 3/154. Ponting on 67. Clarke on 28. Personally I think Clarke is batting well enough to go on and see out the innings.
Firstly, i've gotta point out the juicy odds your getting with 1.80 on ponting to go out before he makes 110.5.
Secondly, Ponting should be next man out. You can get odds of 1.80 on that.
Thirdly, Aussies will make over 350.5. If you can get around 1.45 or better that is good odds.
And finally, I think Aussies will win this test. 1.60 sounds about right.

good luck boys. JUGADA, the man who has been given the second chance, is the man who will go on in glory. that's my philosophy and I have seen so many players go on with it after the opposition make sloppy mistakes and don't take their chances. further, punter is hitting the ball well most of his innings but he has also played some ridiculous strokes. he was loosely hitting at the ball at one stage, and was very lucky to get off 42 after sitting on that total for 4 overs. I'd love to see him make a tone by all means, but I think clarke has looked better with his strokes down the ground especially. apart from the "should have been wicket" ball, clarke has looked superb and very comfortable out there. can definitely see him making a tone. It's a tough one. But I have seen enough from clarke to be convinced he will be out there longer. the fact he should have been out is a poor excuse mate. and as a cricket follower, that term should never be used in a game where there is so much luck involved. clarke has had luck. therefore I think he will be much more free with his strokes. Good luck!
shame about the way warner went out today, i'm behind him all the way, i think he's perfect as an opener for us. Hughes on the other hand......also how good does Lyon look? loving that bowling
Are you saying atone or a ton???
and yeah its not a poor excuse, its simply a fact i am stating. You are saying a guy looks like carrying his bat even though he has already been dismissed once.
Ponting sitting on 42 for 4 overs doesnt make him "very lucky" to have gotten off it either lol

I'm curious to see what they do with the bowling from here. Harris and Cummins both come back in sooner rather than later and are strike bowlers. Watson comes back too. Lyon looks like a goer, so one of the other three (Starc, Siddle, Pattinson) will be kept and asked to plug away into the breeze for long periods. Should be more about team balance than who bowls best at the Gabba. For that reason I'd say Siddle is a good chance of being the man because he is a tough bugger and has a little bit of experience to offset the two pups, Lyon and Cummins. With the rotation policy the other guys (including Cutting) will get their chances over the next 12 months.
Yeah agree zebesty Hughes just gives me the sh!ts the way he gets out all the time. I couldnt count the amount of slices off the edge to slips/gully he has gotten out by.
now im not the biggest hughes fan going round but we are pretty tough on our young players... he is 22 still and was the 4th youngest player to 1000 test runs.. Of the three ahead of him are Sachin (who i cant wait to see live for the last time in Aus boxing day) and Sir Don... He is abit different but i can already see how much he has worked on his game and has changed a few little things.. I think he should stay and the media/cricketing ppl should give him a break... The only issue i have with the aussie team is Haddin and he is just lucky paine is injured and wade didnt make a big score in the Aus A game..
On the bowlers Starc, Pattison both have big futures but we saw how raw they still are with their inconstistancey and i think Cutting would've probs been a better selection but i did notice he bowled very little today so maybe an injury or an instruction by CA??
Im still annoyed we didnt start playing these younger guys who have all the talent in the world 12-18months ago when we had the likes of Pakistan/West indies over here and then had tours over to Bangledesh etc... all good in hindsight i guess

point taken aboard re: hughes tenchy.
i'm so keen for payne to get into the test side it's not funny. He is a bloody star! I've always looked at Haddin as just a replacement after gilchrist left and before the next gen wicky comes in. The way Haddin went out in sth africa a few weeks ago was unbelievable, what was he thinking.

Im not gonna bother educating you because you clearly have no idea about cricket. If your gonna make calls, don't talk from a high and mighty perspective when you don't even understand the game. Cricket is a lot of luck mate. How else could you have it? Just because Clarke was given a chance doesn't mean he isn't in brilliant touch. Conversely, Ponting is hitting it well too. But you can't discount Clarke's touch. I am not being bias. I am simply critiquing what I see. And that is clarke's form
that statement was directed at "the jugada". everyone else continue discussion as it were.
hey jugada. watching the cricket champ??? PONTING OUT!!!!! THAT IS TERRIFIC!! HUGE WIN FOR ME!!!!!!!
what's the weather like in bris today? are we a chance at getting past tea with the ump's friggin light meter?
does someone know how Malinga's bowling action is legit? it's a complete sling
zebesty, from what I understand, its legit due to the positioning of his upper body at the point the ball leaves his hand, forget his name now, but there was a South African a few years back, had the nick name "Frog In A Blender" due to his bowling action
Elbow isn't bent - zebesty - unlike a particularly controversial "spinner". Hard to play those quick slingers - the ball is on you earlier than you think it will be, due to the lower bounce. If you look closely at a leg spinners action the release point is lower and wider than your classic "high arm" action of your usual quick bowler.
How good is tonights final? Centuries to both Clarke and Warner. Then the ball bends like a banana in the first few overs that Sri Lanka face. Who sprayed their pyjama pants with Canola Oil ???
At the 25 over mark I'd have expected a score of close to 420 had Sri Lanka batted first.

How big was that no ball call?!
Very glad Sri Lanka won though this series has been the best ever and deserves a decider

they deserved the Win as they simply had the goods the whole comp. Commited is the way they played
Certainly did Aus1 and continued while bowling today. Series now back in the balance. Hope this pair can consolidate a bit with no need to try and go gangbusters, but tap the ball around for singles and the occassional boundary, to make it a close decider.
