Very keen to see how Unpretentious goes. Big tip for it here, it has bulked up in the paddock and is more athletic

Yep. It was very good running 2nd back in Sept

Hey BR, do you really have It Is Written on top?

I had a few cents on Specter each way on the Caulfield Guineas pre race at $101/$34 and of course he finished 4th..

Toppie is no flog, I've a pretty decent opinion of Mr Milton, & have It is written BBed but was expecting an easier race for it, it's a field job really though as Kavs is above average and 10 can improve 4 on it's day can beat a good one ect ect

No, I don't, MT, but that's just me BS'ing again. Yes, I remember Specter firming in the market for the Guineas. You must have got on early!

Been waiting for Unpretentious for a while. On Debut 3 wide the whole trip beat Sharnee Rose who I am pretty sure ran two 2nds behind Atlantic Jewel. Craig Williams booked just hope thehorse has matured mentally as had issues with the missing the kick. Otherwise this horse could blow them away.

Mister Milton form around Soft Sand who I think is somethign special both beating Song Of The Bell by about a length is over the odds too imo.

Unpretentious always goes round under the odds and that will be the case again. Very open race where tempo will dictate who wins as there's quite a few good horse's in this race. My Pick is Adamantium, recorded some good figures and sectionals last prep and should get the run of the race right behind the speed. Betting should tell us how forward it is.

I see Unpretentious was also nommed for MV on Friday in a little 0-72 affair.

But didn't accept.

Its a great time of year. All the trainers think their horses are Group horses in the making. Everybody has a little pep in their step... Some will be dragging their feet after Thursday and others will be pumping their chests right out. This race is a perfect example of it!

Exactly right. Plenty with 'potential' here. Somehow I get the feeling people are going to be crying about bad luck in this one. Or that their horse was just winding up, blah blah blah. Anyway, let's see. Just looking on, myself.

I concur. A great example of not having to bet in every race. This will be a great race to watch and see what unfolds.

My contenders,

Benificia - Is 2/2 first up and last time first up won the Listed Hampden Stakes at Doomben beating Saramenha by 3.5 lengths. Just needs to produce much the same this time in and wins this well.

Adamantium - Has finished 3rd and 2nd in 2 previous first up runs, finished 2 lengths behind Sepoy in the Coolmore and that's not bad. Chance but may need a couple of runs just yet.

Mister Milton - Last time in ran 3rd to Pied a Terre 3rd up, looks as though has come back better and should go close to winning this.

Huegill - Finished last campagne running 3rd in the Caulfield Guineas, having 1st up run and probably needs a couple just yet.

Petman - Won 2nd up last time in good fashion and comes into this off the back of a 1st up win. A little more depth here but may fill a place.

Pakari Toa - Unbeaten from two of his career starts, speedy type with an awkward draw.

Unpretentious - Flashed home last start against the tempo of the race, looks promising.

My top four 1,4,5,10 I think the winner comes from those four as well as your exotics.

Good Luck
