Tiger I like your thinking $26 is good enough for me to step in, bel sprinter the obvious one but looking for value in this. I also think first command will be in the finish, so Ill be boxing those in my trifecta

You would think satin shoes would take up the running with first command from barrier 2. Can't see her finding another gear at the top of the straight off a genuine tempo. Don't think she's good enough IMO, none of the likely leaders are.

Sorry barrier 3

my best value runner is grand nirvana. first time over here but he's been mixing it with some pretty handy gallopers in perth and rarely runs a bad race.

kersley knows all about taking horses to melbourne too.

Woorim or Curtana could be the upsets.

Eagle falls is going to relish the tempo

Wow I cannot for the life of me understand how so many are excited about Bel Sprinter. He's a handy horse but gee he's won a Listed race and was beaten in a Group 3 !! Sepoy is well weighted against him. There's only 4kg's between them not 10 ! He's not as well weighted against the likes of Eagle Falls, who is a Group 1 winner and flies 2nd up and comes off a first up win. He's the danger to Sepoy. $3.70 Sepoy makes him unbelievable value imo. He's a star and better performed than Fastnet Rock who won this with 57kg's as a 3yo.

Times and sectionals suggest he is very very smart Melbman.
Meets Sepoy 7kg better than if they met @ WFA, has oustanding acceleration where he has ran the fastest Lsection of the meeting in 50% of his career runs.
Negatives are as you said he has to step up from Listed to G1. He shows all the signs he's ready for it.

Don't know how you could have sepoy or bel sprinter at those odds.

MelbMan

Sepoy blasted a Group 1 field first up in the spring doing it at both ends and on unsuitable softish ground. Load up

DIPLOMATIC FORCE was stiff should of went close was looking for runs in straight and headed out near WOORIM to late, some very stiff horses in that race

Gee sepoy was brave. Thought the weight would have slowed him a little quicker. Like to see elite falls and woorims closing sectionals

Madmax60

Taking that out of context melbman. He had to carry more weight, bigger field, wide barrier which prevented him from dictating the pace

DIPLOMATIC FORCE like to see his sectionals to watch trying for run between Elite Falls and never got gap had to stop riding then switch out, not bad run for $100 pop

That was enormous Woorim, great start to the quaddie. Poor old Bel Sprinter, missed the kick and just never saw daylight in the straight. Looked to be travelling enormous.
