This looks like it's gonna be a great doco on Ayrton Senna. I think it comes out in August in cinemas.
You've gotta love the shot right at the end of this preview of Senna and Mansell flying down the straight absolutely wheel to wheel.

Motor sports provide an excellent canvas for sports commentary and especially film and documentary. F1 is a sport that's brilliance can be captured both in life speed and slow motion.
Advances in technology will only make this sport more appealing to the viewer and hopefully this doco can let some younger fans into the world of a driver that let God lead him through the corners.
A true champ and my equal fave with a great winner - Alain Prost.

Here here Whiz. I was trying to describe Ayrton Senna to a mate of mine who is 19 years old (Had never heard of Senna!)
Senna was such an intense character and if he was still alive I reckon he would have competed into the new millenium and into his mid 40's such was his desire to win.
Ron Dennis always believed he would have returned to McLaren one day as well.

I reckon some of the best scenes in this doco will come from driver briefings and post race meetings with Senna and Prost. It would be fair to say that those two caused each other some sleepless nights.

..I went and saw this by the way. It was very good. A little biased making Senna look awesome and Prost like a complete c#nt, but very good overall!

Were you lucky enough to go to the premiere on the Gold Coast?

thats because Senna was awesome, and Prost was a bitter little frenchman who should of won more championships than he did, mainly with Renault in the early 80s, but both drivers were honest racers, back in the day when you had to take one hand off the wheel to change gears while negotiating a 4th/5th gear corner

The 30/30 shows are excellent. Love the Matt Hoffman one. The E:60 shows on ESPN are sensational too.

Even the old 'Pumping Iron' & 'Second Effort' docos are great.

Pumping Iron f**kin rocks. Just watchig Arnold playing mind games with other competitors is gold.
I never saw many of the 30 for 30 docos on ESPN, but I did catch the one about the NASCAR driver who had AIDS. That was very sad.
