Mosheen will be harder to catch if the rain arrives. It is interesting Smerdon is dodging AJ, when she's no good thing in this. There is certainly more of a sense of timing about MJ. But again she cant control the weather,so no point taking the shorts til the race, I think.

mmm you raise a good point dster... although she handles the wet, she doesn't love it... but probably has the class to get thru it here and win. although rain brings sacred choice into in a big way

@ horsemiller12 i was wrong with the 6mm, the twitter comment actually said "the proposed 6mm of irrigation has been postponed with the forecast of showers tomorrow. track currently dead 4 with peno of 4.77.... say we will be dealing with a dead 4 or 5, maybe slow 6 at worst..... doubt it tho... they definitely won't let it get to a good 3 if the rain doesn't come, after all the so called jarring up last time

Thanks for the update mate. Had me worried!

Unlikely to be slow gents, there is only a 70% chance of 2 - 7mm tomorrow in the Melbourne Metrop Area. Track like Flemington, spitting on it would have more impact than 5mm.

Where are you getting that from Mola? Eldersweather still has a 70% likelihood of 10-20mm.

More Joyous at her best just wins this, but when Nash got off her last start he sounded worried. Said she's not at her best this time in and I think she'll need to be at her best to defeat Mosheen at the weights.

Ill tell you what...HURTLE MYRTLE could run a cheeky race here. Definately like anything over 20s. It's form is solid, step up in class yes, but with luck and decent speed up front, this will put up a fight to those favs. I have it as the next best horse behind response. Good E.w bet

i reckon VARENNA MISS will run out the strong mile..........MJ seems like her prep has come to an end for me.....I know she won last start but you just got the sense that she was labouring and just wasn't 100%......Nash was very blunt in saying she isnt going very well at all............only thing that worries me is what the pattern may be doing......

Majestic Music made up a ton of ground last start and is at its best over 1600m winning 2 of 3 at this track....blocked for a run over 1600 at Morphy will be storming home with the right sit from barrier 2 and Craig the wag on board.

mahestic music, good place chance and its one of many chances here. a few could win. my market would be this...if you get better than this on your horse, then get on it...the tab are guessing on this race if you ask me...stay away from MJ if its under 3s.

More Joyous 4.10
Mosheen 4.80
Resonse 6.50
Hurtle Myrtle 12
Skye Rush 15
Sacred Choice 15
Sistene Angel 16
Yosei 16

is this the blow out race after all those early afternoon favourites because here the favourite, more joyous looks flat & vulnerable this preparation while the second favourite, mosheen, is a three year old & three year olds have a bad record in this race.

sacred choice or sistine angel or born to rock for me.

stradbroke Can't believe all this hooplah about More Joyous racing flat this campaign. If you did impartial ratings you would have realised her first up run was below that of her first run from a spell over 1100m on 29/8/09 when she ran 3rd. Gai has set her to peak for this race and regardless of the barrier she will win!!

i'm going for SISTINE ANGEL at odds... will love the cut in the ground, she won the Edward Manifold this track and distance last year over Brazilian Pulse, Shamrocker & Pinker Pinker on a dead4...

Wasn't pretty!

I need a personal uppercut, last night with the potential rain around took Galah-Hurtle Myrtle/Sacred Choice all ups. Yet took MJ one out in Quaddies and Big Six!

What a shocking call stradbrokr. How dare you insult us for saying a blow out would win...and..ding ding ding....my pick got up at 20-1 if you'd got on yesterday. Hurtle Myrtle wad clearly huge overs and for you to get on your high horse like that and bad mouth us is rubbish. Hope people got on. My tip. I did

i think too many people on here rely too heavily on track work whispers & ratings high-jinx, instead of their own eyes.

lol. horse4luv i thought i had you at the 200m but your mare surprised me by pulling away because hurtle hadnt won beyond 1400m whereas i knew sacred choice would run a strong mile...therefore, it was an excellent win by hurtle myrtle. well done
