MAGIC CASSIUS- awesome sectionals when winning GosMAGIC CASSIUS- awesome sectionals when winning Gos
This 4yo Magic Albert gelding has CITY WINNER written all over it after a dazzling display when destroying a small class 1 field at Gosford yesterday.
Bookies put up 2.8 (even tho it went faster than the class 2 when winning its maiden by 7 len at Taree);
and the cashed up owners (was 9/1 at Taree) soon emptied their bulging wallets onto the gelding and it started 1.80.
Magic Cassius simply belted its main rival TEXAN and drew away for an easy 5 length victory. I just consulted the video and the jock eased the gelding down over the final 100m.
Only beat a 4 horse field, so what you may ask??? Have a quick look at the sectionals and u can see what is very exciting about its win.
The race was run nealy 8 lengths faster than the other class 1 which is significant but its last 600 of 33.48 was even faster than the 67 race of 1000 where they came home in 33.60. So considering that Magic Cassius was eased down over the final 100, it would have well and truly had the measure of the 67 horses even though they had the advantage of only running 1000 metres.
Magic Cassius is a must for the blackbook and has midweek city winner stamped all over it.

Couldn't agree more. I'll even say it is Saturday class.
I am a big fan of Magic Albert as a sire. Very underrated yet when his stock show any ability at all they usually measure up. Im looking into what mares are best served by him. I will get one of his stock in the future for sure.
