With Freedman taking over the reigns as trainer, i reckon it will have a sniff at victory. Backed it a couple of day ago 34 win and 9.5 place.

The horse obviously has ability..still its a hard race to win. Lots of quality horses have travelled from Europe and found it hard going. Travel, Quarantine, Acclimatization. Horses arnt robots.
Having Freedman training it and the high opinion they have of the horse makes you think though. Could be a fairy tail in the making.
From what ive seen of it so far..looks exciting. I love the sit and spint style of staying races we have here in Australia.. This horse looks suited to that. I have heard its run some amazing sectionals.
I backed it too.. haha

Its very difficult to travel from overseas and win the race. Its very hard to line up the form too but yes sectionally it does seem like it will be suited. Big pluses are that Freedie is flying over to train the horse and learn about him BEFORE he comes to Australia. Looks like Williams is doing a lot of riding now for Freedman so think he will get offered the job to ride in the big one which is also a plus. Must say however that at $17 in most markets he is well under the odds now. Good luck to those that snaffled the $101...

I got plenty on at 80-1 and numerous doubles with Lucas at 60's (Incl Alcopop into Lucas at 3200-1 to win $100k)!

Money, the word is strong on this one, and I've seen some pretty amazing video's / sectional time reports. Also got some footage of him in work recently and it was very impressive. Apparently the only stayer to have run similar sectional times in Germany has been........ Americain.

The mail is Geelong Cup, then the big one.

Another one to keep an eye on is Modun. I believe he is on his way now also, currently $126.
