Why Black Caviar is my Queen of the turf..

Winx ran to a new peak rating of 73.0kg in Saturday's George Ryder Stakes. This the second time she has rated 70.0kg or above.

In comparison Sunline rated 70.0kg or above on three occasions in her illustrious career ..her highest rating coming in her 2002 Doncaster Hcp win carrying 58.0kg & beating Shogun Lodge by a nose.

The great Makybe Diva surprisingly only achieved a rating of 70.0kg or above on one occasion. This came in her final race, the 2005 Melbourne Cup in which she lumped a record 58.0kg & achieved a rating of 71.5kg.

Now we come to Black Caviar. She achieved a rating of 70.0kg or above on an amazing FIFTEEN occasions. Her career peak rating of 74.5kg was achieved on two occasions ..in the 2011 Newmarket Hcp under 58.0kg & the 2012 Lightning Stakes carrying 56.5kg..

Winx will never achieve the consistent high class performances of Black Caviar, and thus I have no hesitation in crowning Black Caviar as my 'Queen of the Turf'
