i dont think he got the prep wrong just dont think he anticipated certain runs, e.g manikato, to take that much out of him. He will already have a high stud value due to his slipper win but a coolmore would enhance that further. I think class got him through that race more than anything, but in saying that i though foxwedges run was super.
Definitely think there is a group one in him especially with sepoy, cavier and potentially hay list gone. Think he can step up and win a big sprint race. Im sure O'shea knows exactly who he's up against he's just playing his colt in the races that will best enhance his value at stud.
Agree BC is as vunerable as we have seen her in a while but i think she still is lengths above them. Glad she races a handy field so the whingers cant play the "she doesn't race any good horses" card.

I also think BC is a little vulnerable, the drop back in distance, second up, the quick backup and the quality and depth of field is making me think is this the one where the bubble bursts?
But she also has a bit in her favour which is the straight track, she can just cruise and peel off her sectionals then quicken when she needs to put the race to bed. I'll be taking a gamble and taking her to get beat in tris

Foxwedge is a talented horse, but the Coolmore run looks better on face value than it really was. Sepoy doesn't handle the straight course and he was a very tired horse. Replace Foxwedge with BC and the mare wins by 6, maybe more. That was a very thin race in the Spring. Never doubt champions, that is what Black Caviar is and she'll win everything she contests on Aussie soil

I've got a feeling they will scratch BC tomorrow.

u gotta keep in mind that they havn't pushed caviar at all in her last 10 races and shes still winning the way she is so if somehow she finds herself in trouble she will hit another gear yet again. This is just trackwork for her next start ;)

I think she'll win tomorrow then bring up No 20 in the Newmarket carrying 60kgs.

I read an article today that the plan is to run in the futurity. The only reason moody is backing her up is because she barely had a workout last week, that a strong 900m gallop would have been a better hitout. He also said she won't be running in the new market.

I heard him say the only race she definitely wouldn't be running in was the Newmarket, but I'm not so sure now... There is a bit of fairytale to it, but a little birdy tells me it might become a reality.

Foxwedge is the value runner for the place and that's where my money will be going.

Moody has always marched to the beat of his own drum and his preps for his horses hardly change when he has announced his plans. He has said a number of times that he wont run his horses due to the public demand. But this prep has been different, you don't know what's going on, maybe he does but. I thought the plan the whole time was ascot, to me i dont know how running her in the newmarket will help her at ascot. Lol he prob just wants to bs able to get $2.60 in a race for her.

Mmm i told a mate not to back BC in a all in market for the Newmarket because she wouldn't run. She was paying 2.60.

yeah man, all up your $1.04 winnings from yesterday into her winning the newmarket. sounds like a genius plan !

Colonel

Who are you talking to?

She paid more than $1.04 yesterday anyway

Are you talking to me? I said a friend told me she was paying 2.60 for the Newmarket but I said she wasn't running in it this prep. Or that's what I thought. Certiantly sounds that way, dont know why you would run her again if she is going overseas. Although moody says she will go if the barrier blanket is allowed. I can hear the english media calling her precious already.

shes $3 now in the newmarket..take the $2.65 for hay list...unbeatable if BC isnt there.
