Track Very Heavy and deteriorated through the day
Marker Pegs out 12m All Trials Over 1000m

HEAT 1 3YO MAIDEN TRIAL 1:02.90 1 ¾ X HD

KHAIRANISSA a daughter of Street Cry for B Petherick and D Magro won the trial after being pushed out hands and heels and railing through on the turn EIKEPT a gelding by Keep the Faith for S Price and T Mc Evoy showed speed from the gates to sit wide and stay wide under a very tight reign the whole way LIGHTBURGH a daughter of Johannesburg who has raced in Victoria as a 2YO for O Ay and Hayes finished well up the middle of the track after being pushed along. The rest were over 5 lengths away with PAPAS GOTHIC the best of those.

HEAT 2 3YO MAIDEN TRIAL 1:03.53 4 ½ X SHD

SOUNDS LIKE LEON a gelding by Honours List for S Cahill and B Brook won the trial comfortably under a good hold after showing gate speed then settling 2nd and winning easily BABBOOSH. ZIGSTROEM. STRUM CHA. PODIUM FINISH. And DANCING ABOUT all hit the line with a length between them.

HEAT 3 3YO MAIDEN TRIAL 1:04.29 LNK X 2

FAITH HELA a gelding by Keep The Faith for M Hoppo and S Gower sat behind the leader and after being shaken up won the trial well CLOS DE TART a daughter of More Than Ready for P Gatt and Hayes was slowly away then went wide the trip to finish a close 2nd on the outside rail without Gatt moving a muscle. POWER TO POSSESS a colt by Refuse To Bend showed speed to lead and battled ok in the straight TOP BILLING was not pushed around in 4th spot

HEAT 4 3YO MAIDEN TRIAL 1:03.6 SHD X 4 ½

LEHOWER a gelding by Akhadan ½ brother to Shekinaar for J Potter and K Byrnes won the trial by a whisker after settling back and making ground in the middle of the track with FLEETING EMBRACE a daughter of Barely A Moment for Gatt and Hayes wearing the hood on its outside after leading most of the way. HOLLIDAY MAKER a gelding by King Charlemagne for L Hopwood and R Jolly dwelt slightly at the start and railed through for a creditable 3rd The rest were beaten a fair way.

HEAT 5 3YO MAIDEN TRIAL 1:03.87 NK X LNK

SIR SWIFT who has been placed twice from 4 starts won its 2nd trial in 10 days after being wide early and finishing strongly for J Frew and M Seyers LAST CHARGE a gelding by Akhadan stuck to the task well on its inside for L Hopwood and R Jolly after racing handy to the lead THE CATCHER a gelding by Falvelon with the hood on for B Hoppo and L Ryan railed through and finished off well PEROSSA and COMIC CONVERSATION werent far away 4th and 5th.

HEAT 6 3YO OPEN TRIAL 1:03.88 2L X 5 ½

Lever slipped STIRLING GROVE to lead before the turn and he shot clear to win convincingly under a strong hold PROTECTOR for Price and T Mc Evoy (who has form behind Toorak Toff) trialed nicely into second without being pushed around and a long margin to WHIPTHEBREWER and RAMBUKA

HEAT 7 MAIDEN TRIAL 1:04.35 ½ X NK

MISS VIRGINIA for P Gatt and THE PERUGIAN for P Denton went along in front and they kicked around the turn with MISS VIRGINIA under a strong hold winning the trial THE PERUGIAN (hood on) was pushed along to hold 2nd and BUNDLE OF DREAMS worked home well for 3rd and HALF CUT worked home ok into 4th CERTINO for Price and Mc Evoy caught the eye for further working home from well back into 5th out wide

HEAT 8 MAIDEN TRIAL 1:03.33 ½ NCK X 3 ¼

BARANNAN was given a serious hit out (hood on) and ridden out to win by L Hopwood for G Richards SHANPANICHI an unraced mare by Fu Peg went to the line well for Baker and S Burford with VALYA a soft trial for 3rd not far away for Price and Seater GRACE OF GOD showed good speed but battled into 4th MASTER MCGINTY worked home OK in to 5th the other 2 runners were well back.

HEAT 9 MAIDEN TRIAL 1:03.41 NCK X 4 ¼

TUCSON TRAIL for S Cahill and B Papazaharoudakis led all the way to beat LINDERA who settled back and quickly made ground after being ridden along by Price for JD Smith. Price seemed very keen to win the trial but the winner did it very comfortably and LINDERA ran 2 nd again. NOVASAURUS and MISS POMPIDOU battled into 3rd and 4th the rest were well back.

HEAT 10 OPEN TRIAL 1:03.89 ½ X 1

MISS TUSCAN for Lever and R Jolly railed through on the turn and won nicely from BERGSTROM for Lindop and Byrnes who was on the speed throughout FURLINE was let stride over the last 50m and made quick ground into 3rd for the ex NSW apprentice Jess Greacen now with Stokes. ANDAMOOKA GEM also worked home nicely out wide for A Patterson and Minervinni and QUID PRO QUO held on ok for 5th

HEAT 11 OPEN TRIAL 1:04.39 SN X ¾

MOMENT IN TIME for Price and Huxtable settled back went wide at the turn and cruised to line under its own steam to narrowly account for SHADY GROVE for Hopwood and R Jolly who also trialed well after making ground on the fence FOXHAM for M Hoppo and T Mc Evoy worked home nicely out wide for 3rd. This was a strong trial although the time was a bit slower but there were sound efforts from ST FRASER. EXALTED THOMAS and UNCHAIN MY HEART

HEAT 12 OPEN TRIAL 1:02.42 ¾ X 3 ¼

JAALIPPY railed through on the turn and shot clear for M Hoppo to win well SWIPER held on for 2nd after going hard early for T Neve and GET SET for Hopwood worked home well into 3rd under her own steam. IM DISCREET was a slightly disappointing after leading early and plodding into 4th BELIEVE N ACHIEVE with the hood on was also a touch disappointing after getting back and struggling into 5th. SILENT MARCH got back and worked home OK.
The Track was really starting to get affected by now and the 13th trial was cancelled.

Thanks Chunky..had{ Moment in Time}down for awhile nice to see it go ok in its trail..can not wait till the tracks get better hate putting my money on this time of the year when it is heavy..good to see you put this up hope there is a nice winner amongst them ..goodluck.

4th beaten less than 2 lengths standard excuses wide draw was against and further might suit. I think we should get our money back along the way but lighter today sorry to the punters

Track Slow 7: All trials over 1000m

HEAT 1: 2YO Trial 2 X 3 ¼ 1:04.98
No more than a 3 horse track gallop CALIFORNIAN DEVIL a daughter of California Dane for Claridge and Stokes won very well from stable mate SON OF CAESAR a son of Holy Roman for J Greacen GONSKI GIRL for Craig Curtis and Petherick tired into third.
HEAT 2: 3YO TRIAL ¾ X 12 ¾ 1:02.27
TRIPLE TEE a gelding by Tayasu Tsuyoshi for S Cahill and Minervinni could not have won any easier with HOLIDAYMAKER a gelding by King Charlemagne for A Hermann and R Jolly ridden out to keep up and daylight to the 3rd horse NEW DIVA.
HEAT 3: 3YO TRIAL 2 ¼ x 1 ¾ 1:02.87
ANDRONICA a daughter of Mujahid for Patterson and Minervini sprinted strongly late to win the trial running away from WANNA WIN for Westover and Whittle TOP BILLING was OK into 3rd for Stokes IN THE BOOK ran 6th but wasn't beaten far after scouting very wide and not being pushed around.
HEAT 4: 3YO TRIAL ½ x 5 1:02.63
The well performed CONDELAGO with the hood on for Neilson and M Huxtable won well from QUICK THOUGHTS who battled on well for Neve and Sweeney with CAPE DU COUEDIC battling into 3rd a fair way back
HEAT 5: 3YO TRIAL Nck x 3 1:04.39
LALLA ROOKH a daughter of Street Cry for Lindop and Mc Donald was pushed right out to win from PODIUM FINISH a gelding by Gods Own who also was ridden out for Dodd and B Hoppo BERTUCCI was a lovely trial behind them un extended by Cahill and MR DILIGENT coated to the line Ok in 4th.
HEAT 6: MAIDEN TRIAL 3 ¼ x 1 ¾ 1:02.97
SHIRAZ NIGHT took the short cut on the turn and after being ridden out won well from RESSENDA and HUSSKILA who both just battled away OCSMEPOP finished 4th under a very tight reign
HEAT 7: MAIDEN TRIAL 2 ¾ X 9 ¾ 1:04.63
A 4 horse heat which SUNFLAME a 4yo unraced mare by Jeune won well for Hayes and O Ay even though slow time LETSTICKTOGETHER tried hard and the rest were way back.
HEAT 8: OPEN TRIAL ½ x 1 ¼ 1:04.02
ANDAMOOKA GEM settled and ran home over the top of them after being pushed along by Patterson SHAMADAN was an eye catcher for Hayes and Gatt under its own steam after leading WOODLAND JACK poked home ok into 3rd ROAD WARRIOR ran 6th not far away under its own steam
HEAT 9: OPEN TRIAL Nck X ½ 1:02.76
TESTATE beat REPUBLIQUE on the line with the winner ridden out and the 2nd horse looking impressive yet a little green. GALA GUZZLER for Hayes hung on for 3rd after also being pushed out.

HORSES TO FOLLOW: CALIFORNIAN DEVIL, TRIPLE TEE, HOLIDAYMAKER, ANDRONICA, CONDELAGO, QUICK THOUGHTS, BERTUCCI, SUNFLAME, ANDAMOOKA GEM, SHAMADAN, REPUBLIQUE

Appologies these are 2 weeks late and there have been some strong winners amongst them. Stick with the Morphettville winner BERTUCCI even if he goes to Melbourne.
