BAD Sportsbet

sportsbet has just taken the CB option from me with no reason given except senior management decision
all i can think is i'm winning too much?

youd think if anyone would get shutdown it would be spartacus and anyone else who only backs his tips

HI Guys, I have checked into this and apparently they do have the right to stop a punter using the top priced totes. They have a rick management department, if a customer is constantly making a profit then they will restrict them. On a separate note I have been screwed by them today as well. I tied the 7 race card at Gosford into a Super Heinz and had two wins and 4 places. this according to my calculator should pay minimum of $4500 per dollar div, I received 1% of that. After a conversation with them they tried to bollox me with a load of crap stating that odds are paid out @ 1/4 of win, however when looking at there rules and regulations it only states that the total line stake is split in two and then applied to the place odds.

They have screwed me for the last time, others include a First 4 that only paid out at a tri and a tri that was dropped from their system.

I wont be using them any more and I would advise anyone who is to drop them and move on to better exchanges. the 50 odd people who I trade with on BF UK lays will be hearing and doing the same.

Again I'm assuming but I'd say these tippers are just putting in there selections. Some have 50 tips a day. I don't think they would be putting money on everyone of their selections just tipping it cause they think it has a chance.

Maybe, but why tip for the sake of it? You may be new here Max, but there are a number of tipsters here who continually tell us how good they are, but they have disgraceful figures on here. I know there are money management programs out there that can turn even money losses into profit,because I have one, but some of these guys are so bad that it would be the tiniest of profits, or it just can't be done, no matter how good the computer program. And I would be surprised if they owned such a program. They come across as reckless desperates to me. Very little planning involved. Spur of the moment punters who like to tell us about it.

Yeh I agree to a certian extent. But i just think there tipping these selections based on a rating system that shows that selection to be over the odds. Not saying that rating system is 100% correct. Just can't fathom that they would pick a horse for the sake of it

Whatever they're using they obviously believe in enough to use on here, otherwise they would create a spreadsheet and keep their own records privately using formulas that would give them far greater feedback than the PP info does. That would save the embarrassment that their records here produce.

Nobody could possibly have a worse graph than mine.. I love just pumping in the tips.. blindly mostly..and seeing what comes up. Im not here to sell any tips (obviously)...Just for an interest mainly. Is that weird?? Probably.

It will be weird when you start telling us stories about bookies closing you down!

I'm suggesting you're blowing your own trumpet, but I also refer to others. It seems to me heaps of people got that email, hence it is probably a policy change. I don't see the point of the thread.

and of what benefit would it be to me to blow my own trumpet? and who are the heaps of people you speak of? and when i questioned sporstbet nothing was spoken of policy change. i put forward the thread because i thought i had been unfairly treated by sportsbet and i have told then so.if you didn't think much of the tread why contribute so much to it . i think you just like shooting your mouth off

Just admit it. If you really felt hard done by you would go to consumer affairs or the relevant authority. Ironic you say I like to shoot my mouth off. The point of this thread is to make you look like a good punter, because your results here do not. You may be a sensational punter, but unless you've got proof of that, I am disappointed you've brought this up.

the reason for this tread was to bag sportsbet pure and simple, if you check their T&C you'll see they can restrict any one any way they see fit to .there is no reason in this tread, why i want to look like a good punter, but i am a successful punter to which sportsbet has restricted me { my proof } but then again i don't have to prove anything to you and if your disappointed it should be because, you don't have the same problem with your bookie

That's because I don't use bookies. I use Betfair & the TAB's. 2 entities who will never ban or restrict you.

I must say I actually do a lot of my betting with the TAB. I like to bet early and they are always up before my son.

Not to mention they are always helpful if you have a good turnover - free tickets to sporting events & private telephone numbers for faster service are two things they provide for the bigger punters.
