they said they were saving him for the 2000m Caulfield Stakes next week, I reckon he would of beaten them today too

no idea who will make up the field yet, but he'd have to be a big show on his last run there 2 weeks ago behind Dec Draw

yeh I'm just trying to remember what horses didn't run this weekend that are heading towards the cups. green moon would be likely to start in the race too id imagine

Green Moon will run in the Herbert Power i reckon, so he is then exempt from the Caulfield Cup if he wins. I'd think Whobegotyou and Alcopop would be likely starters in the Caufield Stakes (Yalumba).

yeh ill be laying whobegotyou from here on in, did last start aswell. looks a good race, so too the herbert power, loving green moon from a cups perspective at the moment

I really like Green Moon as well. I got him at 300s on Betfair for the Melbourne Cup. I'd love for him to win the Herbert Power and receive another penalty.

good work mate. so if he wins the herbert power thats automatic entry into the caulfield cup yeh? he would be pretty low on the order of entry for both cups still so will need another win? if so its good to know, cuz u can bet knowing his in it to win it

Yeah, winner of the Herbert Power is exempt from the Caulfield Cup ballot. The winner usually receives a penalty as well. He's currently 68th in the Order of Entry for the Melbourne Cup, so needs to win Saturday and receive a penalty to move up in the order.
