2009 Solo Melbourne Cup (Sandown Park R8)

One of the best Melbourne Cup fields I have seen. Im really warming to my hometown hope Take The Kitty. Being a newcastle lad and being raised in Maitland, I'd love to see Ken Cheetham win this great race. He looked awesome in his heat last week where he lead and held off the fast finishing Flash Of Light. That win was from Box 6, tonight he has box 1 which is a massive bonus and that will be why he should start favourite. I love him, he is my favourite greyhound and based on what my mail has told me, Take The Kitty will be winning the Melbourne Cup for NSW. The Dangers will be 5 Turanza Bale, who recently broke the 525m track record for The Meadows, and 6 Dyna Lachlan, who was outstanding in his heat.

What a race!
I'll be backing the mighty TURANZA BALE. I'd be declaring it if it drew the inside. He doesn't start the greatest but has the best turn of foot of any sprinter in the land. He'll go very close.

One at a bit of odds is LORD DUCAL.. Include him in the exotics.
